Continental Express, Inc. (1384 Essex Way, San Jose, CA) a/k/a Express Moving Company (47531 Warm Spring Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539) d/b/a Fast Lane Movers was subcontracted by Best West Movers (13659 Victory Blvd., Suite 474, Van Nuys, CA) to move my furniture from California to Pennsylvania. Continental Express, Inc. altered documentation following it being signed to charge nearly $1,000 more for moving my furniture, then refused to unload my things from the truck when I informed them that I wanted my things back and I would not be paying the outrageous new price they were attempting to charge. The employees cursed at me and laughed at my frustration, all in front of my child.
They are holding my things hostage until I pay the new price. Best West Movers advised that they could not help, despite being the company I originally contracted with and their failure to inform me that their services were subcontracted to various companies.
Contact your local District Attorney's Office if you have dealings with these scam artists.

I was ripped off by them too

My girlfriend booked this moving company. When she called they told her that all the moving boxes and packaging material were free. But once we got to the destination they started charging for the boxes, the packaging around your mattress. This came to be an additional $200 to the original estimate. And they would not unload unless I pay the additional amount.
Before they ubnload they estimate the unloading time, in this case it was 2 hrs, but I helped them and got it unloaded in an hour. And I told them I wanted a refund for the last hour. Since all the charges were put on my credit card they said that they will take it off once they get to their office. But today when I was checking the credit card statement the charge was for $629 instead of $539 ($90/hr moving). They are totally unethical and a total ripoff. I have called and complained theri office about the additional charge but no action yet.
