September 2011 we contracted with Continental Van Lines to move us from Pennsylvania to South Carolina, John Niewohner sent us a quote. When it came to the actually move we were supposed to be picked up on Tuesday, then they had to move it to Wednesday because we wanted dropped off on Friday. There was so much confusion with the move that the General Manager called us to say  he was taking our move over, he gave us his cell phone number and said call anytime with any  questions. When we tried to contact him with concerns we had, he told us I am in a meeting I will call you back. He did not return any of our phone calls and still has not been in any contact with us. We had to contact the company to find out what was going on, when we were told we would receive a return call within 1 hour we called them back a couple hours later and were told "oh, I forgot and I went to lunch."

After they promised that we would have a truck to our house between 6-9 a.m. the next morning, we explained to them we need to be loaded and on the road by Wednesday as we had a meeting on Thursday. We missed the meeting and the truck that was supposed to be at our house that morning arrived at 7 p.m. the 2 men worked until 1:15 a.m.( imagine if we had not packed our house up ourselves they would still be there). Continental has not returned any phone calls that they promised, from the estimator all the up to the GM. We finally got our belongings at 5:00 on Saturday and had to pay them there rates, not what we had contracted with CVL since they subcontract out their jobs.
