Contractor used by DTE for their appliance repair program Lacrosse Home Services Came out to fix my washing machine, never touched it, took pictures of it and condemed it. Clinton Township Michigan

I purchased the Home protection plan thru DTE 28 years ago when I first moved in to my home. The plan consisted of my Furnace, water heater, washing maching and dryer.  I started having problems with my washing machine around the beginning of August of this year, it would fill up and agitate but it would not dispense the water out of it so I called DTE.  

DTE sent out a very young man that never even touched the washing machine, just took pictures of it and then he said it cant be fixed, he said its not worth it.  I was at work at the time and had someone at my home to assist him but I should have just taken off work that day so I could have been there.

I called the company when I got home from work that day and requested to have a second opinion and file a complaint against the repairman. I was told to hold on and they kept me on hold for atleast 15-20 minutes probably hoping I would hang up but I wasnt going to do that.  When the representative (Courtney) returned to the call, she explained that her supervisor said NO they would not send a second person to my home, I then asked her for her supervisors name and she replied that she could not give me that information. 

I then went on their website and realized there are alot of ppl going thru the same thing as myself with this company. In my opinion, they are collecting money and alot of times when they are called, they claim the appliance is too old or the part costs too much to fix. I believe they are scamming people and DTE is letting them get away with this.
