Cool Now mis-diagnosed and tried to sell me a new system Tampa Florida

This company 3 weeks ago told my my coil condenser in my air handler was leaking. I could only afford to just get the 3 pounds of coolant to added and hoped it would last a while, even though last year when this happened it did. I called them back less than 3 weeks later. A different rep told me that my coolant was already seriously way too low and I had to get the condenser replaced and it would cost $3200. I said it was high and I'd be getting a 2nd opinion and that I noticed an online report how they ripped off a senior for over $8000 for a new system. He went to his car and said he would call his boss again to see what kind of deal they could do for me. He came back and changed his whole story. Now he says they can't just fix the condender due to pulling permits they can't pull and that the coolant was not what they want to deal with and the only quote they will touch is if they replace the whole system for over $8200. The way he pitched this seemed real shady.

Here's the rest of the story. I called a different company for a 2nd opinion. First, they said my coil condenser in my air handler was fine and even if it was broken, my air handler was still under warranty. This surprised me because Cool Now didn't even check for any warranty information at all.  What a surprise. Then they said my coolant level was just a little low and they found the real problem. In my heat pump there were two small leaks from connecting pipes. The price to fix with a refill with coolant, parts and labor was only $695. The company that was honest and did a great job. I want to mention them but I feel that if Cool Now, a big company, may try to buy them out. My advice, even if your hot, buy some fans and get a 2nd opinion.
