I knew the second I was hung up on, that this rebate and company were definitely some type of scam.
I purchased a years worth of contact lenses through my eye doctor a few months ago. I received them and proceeded to fill out the paperwork, as well as carefully remove the 4 end panels to receive my rebate of $45.00 ($25.00 for the purchase of $ boxes and $20.00 for "new wearer savings"). I am SURE that I placed all 4 end panels in the envelope that was sent out on 4/7/2012.
Just days ago I received a postcard that said my submission was invalid!! I called Coopervision and they gave me a runaround. I was also hung up on several times and had to call back. They continued to tell me that I needed the other 2 end panels or I would NOT receive my rebate. I told them I would send them the 4 boxes that had the end panels removed if that would suffice. Not good enough.
I just want what is owed to me. I had the same exact thing happen to me. I bought a year supply of Coopervision daily disposable contacts in June 2012 and submitted everything required on the form, including the panels from all 8 boxes of the contacts I purchased. I received the same postcard stating Coopervision did not receive the panels, which I know I included in the envelope, because it was so thick. I even made a photo copy of the panels I mailed, but I cannot locate the copy. At this point, all I can send are the 8 boxes of contacts with one panel missing (the panels I already sent!)
I would very much appreciate being contacted by Coopervision and have them make the situation right by sending me the rebate I am owed. Without the rebate offer, I would have otherwise not even considered purchasing the Coopervision product.
Please understand that if this does not get resolved and I am not given the rebate I am owed, I will most certainly switch to another brand of contacts once my year supply is finished.
I have Claim ID: 72541270. I look forward to Coopervision's swift resolution to my issue as well as the other rebate issues I have read about online recently with other Coopervision customers.
