I like the last person who filled out one of these regarding this company was lead into the pitfall that this is a glamorous job. Not having anyone to look over your head constantly, being out in a big city all to yourself trying to sell phone lines?.

On this first interview you weren't really told what you are getting into, then when you go out on your second interview, you are walking the streets with most likely two other people. One of the people is a "trainee" and the other being the "trainer". The trainer along with two other people decide if you are hired onto the company, at the end of a LONG day walking the streets of whatever city he/she is assigned to market his/her services.

With that being said, you are given a pitch to learn, and the businesses that your solicit to, specifically have "no soliciting" signs on their doors. How rude can one be? All in the name of earning commission and making money?. Yes there is a better way to market to the public, but when they have a sign on that "no soliciting" and you go in and "pitch them" enough times they are going to eventually get tired of you coming around and just take you up on it. One sale my trainer made on my first day at the job, she had been jumping on this guy for about four months..Finally he caved in. The driving from Irvine all the way out to Rialto everyday, the compensation is pennies an hour, the only upswing is the friends you make in the company. It is almost in itself a pryamid scheme cult. Get Rich Quick! you will make 100 thousand dollars in a year and be management and get your own office. the lure of travel to any city and opening up your own business would be anyones dream. take a look at cydcor.com, they will give you an "idea" of what the company does, but you won't find a cor concepts webpage. all good businesses have webpages, so i have found out. Also good companies don't make "bonding" a requirement. Work is work, and play is play. get the two mixed up and you end up with bad things.

This experience has opened my insight, scams and businesses like this should be run out and not ever come back.

#2 UPDATE Employee

Sorry this wasn't a good fit for you

AUTHOR: Gabrielle Corcoran - (U.S.A.)

Monika--Sorry the job was not a good fit for you. It certainly isn't for everyone. That is however the idea. Get rich quick is hardly what we promote. If you attended any of the meetings held by the young managers of this firm you probably would have heard terms like student mentality, attitude and work ethic. These are the qualities a candidate must posses. (Qualities I would speculate less than 8% of young adults have since that is the percentage of ADULTS that run businesses.even less that run profitable businesses.)

From there, we continue to develop the skills one needs to become a true business owner of a company that will generate over 1 million in revenue it's first year! That is pretty crazy, right? I am 24 years old and I run a company that will generate more in a year than most small businesses will in 10.

But I wasn't born a saleswoman, an entrepreneur, or even a leader; I was developed into one through hard work and dedication. (both on my part and that of my mentor) While in the field I had the pleasure of working with some of the world's most well known companies. Companies such as AT&T, Pepco Energy Services, and Sam's Club would hardly risk the image of their brands for a few sales. Regardless, while working with these companies my primary job was to acquire new clients for them in the Baltimore area. I did this by meeting in person with the potential business clients, discussing their needs and customizing messages in order to acquire a new client. Sure many businesses responded negatively to my visits. This was usually because other unprofessional, aggressive sales reps had stopped by their place of business early and offended them or lied to them in order to close a deal. We strongly promote professionalism, integrity and ethics, and really emphasize selling ourselves rather than the services offered by the companies. (a skill I am sure you were told is vital to business success.)

In any event the negatives of the field is what builds character. It is what separates the weak from the strong or the entrepreneurs from the employees. I can tell you that I wanted to quit 100 times, but then I would have been like everyone else. All those who saw an incredible opportunity but decided one day (usually after 2 weeks of not seeing the immediate results they had hoped) that they didn't have the tenacity, drive or determination to be a self-made business owner. I hold nothing against these people, but I will never allow them to take away from my own personal accomplishments. I can't even begin to tell you how proud I am of myself and the friends around me who have made it too. The ones that took their raw talent and stretched it to the limit day in and day out in order to get to a place where they could have the financial and personal autonomy that only comes from owning your own business.

Today when the account executives return to my office after being in the field all day, I will sit down with a few of my newest talents. I will go over with them the goals they set forth to accomplish today. I will commend those who aggressively set-out to hit them and did, and work with those who didn't. Maybe they will become business owners too one day. Maybe not. There is no guarantee in this company that they will make it. All I can hope is that we have and will continue to make a small impact on their lives and their professional careers. (Stronger people skills, communication skills, work ethic, ability to think on their feet, and be responsible and most importantly ACCOUNTABLE for decisions they make.)

And if nothing else, they have met a group of charismatic, fun and quality people who would go to the end of the earth to help each other out. Call it a cult if you like, but I usually call it friendship. I looked at your resume and one of the things you were looking for was a friendly, positive environment with team-oriented professionals you could see yourself hanging out with after work. 90% of the people I interview want the same thing. The happier you are with your co-workers and the environment, the higher a person's productivity tends to be.

Sorry it turned out to be such a terrible experience. I just hope you haven't wasted too much of your time reading the stories of others who have failed or quit. It's pollution to your brain, and clearly a waste of your time. Time much better spent doing something positive like finding a job. I really do wish you the best of luck with whatever you do. You are a pleasant girl with a ton of enthusiasm and excitement for something. I hope one day you find your niche.

Did you have to stand around for a juicey meeting in the morning? Did they tell you that all us other people were cows?

At least you got out while the getting was good.
