CORBANC Mortgage RIPOFF attempted classic bait and switch tactic Kansas City Missouri

Evidently my previous report was not specific enough. I was not aware of more than one company with the name "CORBANC" the company I was attempting to do business with was ( I believe since this was 2 years ago) CORBANC Home Mortgage.

As I mentioned in my original report I was getting into real estate investing. I was contacted by a individual from CORBANC HM and decided to utilize them as my lender.

Here is a timeline of how the deal went down
1. Contacted by CORBANC Home Mort at time minus approx 3 months prior to closing

2. Was provided a good faith est of 8 percent with 5 percent down at approx time minus approx 1.5 months prior to closing

3. Sporadic communications with lender up until time minus 1 week to closing. Lack of communications aroused suspicion with business partner and we began to seek other financing as a contingency.

4. At time minus 1 week until closing, was provided new numbers (around 12 percent if I remember correctly) which would have made it a horrible deal for us. At this time, our suspicions were confirmend and we switched lenders

5. Posted report on Rip off Report


Evidently the original title of my report implicated several other businesses which use the name CORBANC. If that is the case, I offer an apology and wish to clarify my original thread. For the record, my report is not an indictement of CORBANC llc, global or any other company which uses that name.

Secondly, this clarification is posted as a desire to clear up any misunderstanding, and not harm reputable companies. It was not done out of any fear of legal reprecussions. I think the legal system would shutdown if even a tiny percent of the subjects of rip off reports sought legal action for liable against the posters who made implications of malfeaseance against their companies.

Corbanc Home Mortgage is not affiliated with Corbanc / Corbanc Global / Corbanc Commercial. Corbanc Home Mortgage was sold to Texas Capital Bank in 2005. Corbanc Home Mortgage is no longer even in business. This report has nothing to do with Corbanc Commercial / Corbanc Global or Corbanc. Edward Harrison is president of Corbanc / Corbanc Global / Corbanc Commercial.

I cannot understand how someone from California would even have contact to Corbanc. They obviously were not in contact with Edward Harrison or Tom Knock the principals of Corbanc. This report is slanderous at best. And should not reflect upon Corbanc / Corbanc Global or Corbanc Commerical. You can visit their site and clearly see that this report does not even have their correct address. www.corbanccommercial.com. I hope the individual that reported this false claim removes this before Corbanc Commercial seeks legal action. Slander is serious in the state of Missouri and Missouri has a long arm statue to pull this individual into their jurisdiction if needed.
