Joe Cordell's radio ads are very effective, he makes you feel as though his company is going to help you while you are in one of your lowest and most vulnerable positions. What they are in actuality is a network group of attorneys that drain you of your money. As a result, you are in a worse position than when you started.

My attorney was Ashley E. Duffy, and what I needed her to do was to help me lower my child support payments because I was making considerably less money than in my previous job. I was making 40K less per year, and I needed my payment reduced as a result. The child support payment formula is relatively simple, so I didn't think this would be difficult.

I was lead to believe that my service would cost $1,800.00. I thought it was steep, but at least with their reputation I could count on not getting out-lawyered should it go to court. To get to the point my fees were over $6,000.00. And it was settled out of court, on a phone call that lasted 5 minutes!

They charge you, or over charge you, on anything from mentioning your name in a weekly meeting, to updating you on your own case. That's right, if you are updated you are charged for it. I would have had more respect for them had they just told me that I was not the type of  person that could afford their services.

I wrote a letter to Joe Cordell (and never heard back) expressing my dissapointment in his people that prey on divorced fathers who really need their help. I am not making this report out of spite, although it will take me over 2 years to recover from the money I lost to his company, I just really want to warn the next person who is thinking about using this company. Please do your research, if not, they can really harm you financially and emotionally.
