Saw a Good Morning America clip on my Facebook page, watched the testimonials and "Shark Tank" videos.  Decided to try the CORE eye cream.  I went along with the second product also, which was a face cream.  When the little coupon popped up for the Vitamin C cream, I tried to block it, but couldn't .

When fillling out the order form, there was NO opportunity to remove the $34.97 Vitamin C cream.  There was no chance to cancel.  These charges appeared on my bank statement within seconds.  There were four separate charges, from four different enttities, with four different numbers.

The number mentioned in the complaint on this website, 888-742-8492, is disconnected.  I reached a representative, Makea, at 866-845-0115.  She does not work for CORE Skincare, but in a clearinghouse.

I stated that I wanted to cancel my order.  She said that would be impossible, it had already been processed.  This was less than ten minutes after I ordered online.

I complained that there was no mention of this being a recurring monthly billing, and that I didn't want that.  Makea informed me that I would be given a number, and had two weeks' time to cancel.

Makea said she could cancel the shipment, but would still charge my account for shipping.  I said that was robbery.

The CORE representative said she could give me a 50% discount on the Viatamin C cream, and that half of the $34.97 would be refunded.  I was not happy with this arrangement, and said "Whatever", and hung up.

I got on Rip Off Report to enter my complaint and Makea called me back, from a completely different number, 925-241-2648.  She wanted to complete the discount of half off the cream I didn't want.  I again said whatever, and that she worked for an unethical company.  She said there were plenty of opportunities to opt out, but I assured her that that was not true.

These sorts of scams should not be allowed on Facebook, or anywhere on the internet.  They use reputable tv shows and celebreties names to convince the consumer that they are legitimate businesses, but they are lying thieves.

I hope that CORE skin care gets shut down, and taken to court for their dishonest practices.
