I was connected with North American Savings Bank through Lending tree. North American gave me what seemed to be the best deal on a refinance. During a two week period, extra fees and charges were rolled into the loan. The final straw was they turned my loan into an FHA loan with a higher appraisal fee.
When I decided to use another company, Corey Phipps took it personal. He said he put too much time in on my app. Needless to say it took three months to get him to release my loan number which only takes one day to do.

I first want to say that Ben Chai nor Tracey Vinzant had nothing to do with this. I am very disappointed to read these grossly negligent comments about myself, and North American Savings Bank. There is only one true statement to his allegation and that he chose North American Savings Bank because we had the best offer available to him. The details of the loan only changed when the customer did not accuratately give his income during the application process. We were then forced to add a spouse that did not have the high credit rating he did. So we had to look at FHA financing. I sent over a very detailed GFE outlining the new terms of the loan which nothing changed other then the mortgage insurance required by FHA financing, (even if you are at/or below 80% loan to value.)
This borrower emailed me letting me know that they do not want to pay mortgage insurance and would request a refund for their appraisal deposit. I understood their positioning and gladly put in the request. It was only a day or two after when I received a message from a broker requesting that we transfer the FHA case # assigned to these borrowers. This confused me because I have emails stating that they are going to hold off and wait for the marke to improve and spouses credit to improve. I attempted to call the borrowers several times with no luck in speaking with them. I did receive an voicemail at a time that I obviously wouldn't be in the office to let me know they were going with someone local.
At no point did I have a conversation with the borrowers that indicated to me that they were unhappy with the service provided. Hence why hearing this is very dissapointing. North American Savings Bank is a Federally Chartered Bank that has been in business since 1927.
I will protect my creditabiliy and reputation at all cost. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more details.
Sincerely,
Corey
