I had received an email from Cornerstone America which stated that they had found my resume on Career Builder and I suited their needs. I responded to the email and scheduled an interview with the company. One thing that Conerstone America needs to work on is warning potential employees that it is a group interview at first.

The interview sounded great and I was immediately sucked into the lull of finally making good money. I went through the final interview and was hired on by the company. I did not have my insurance license and I also did not have the money to purchase one since $200 went right to the company the day I was hired. They then told me that I could still make calls and that every lead I obtained I would get a certain percentage if it turned out to be a sale.

I made over a hundred phone calls in a matter of days and alot of it was cold calling. All I had in front of me was a list of small businesses that had never once contacted the company. I was basically soliciting a product I knew hardly anything about. Now I had made some pretty good contacts and was looking at 6-7 really good leads that sounded very promising.

I listened as Michael Miller made the call and set up an appointment with one... the guy seemed really interested and was willing to meet with him. I told Michael that I wanted to go along and watch how he made the presentation. The lead did not turn out to be a sale as far as I know, but I'm not sure because Michael did not give me a definite answer. All I know is that I got paid $35 dollars for one sale (and that was cheated from me because I was told $40 then handed $35 in cash) and I never heard anything else about the other leads. As far as I know the company made the sale then kept the money without contacting me about my share.

I have now recently found a much more dependent and reliable job, and I went to Cornerstone asking for a refund. I was told that the contract I signed says that I don't get a refund. Well, when I requested a duplicate copy of my contract so I could look it over... they told me that they DID NOT HAVE IT. How the hell can you tell me something is in my contract when you don't even have it.

They said I can look at my contract online at their website... ok, maybe I'm dumb but I saw no link or information about any contract... not even in the small print.

I don't see any reason why I shouldn't be able to receive a refund... my website was never made, I never received business cards, I'm almost sure I didn't have a background check because I didn't even have my license yet, and the training sure as hell did not cost $200. The training should be free anyway!!

If anyone has any info they can share with me about a refund please respond...
