CORONADO DISTRIBUTION COMPANY, MARTIN MATTIS, FAST MARTY, FAST-TALKING MARTY My command purchased Office Supplies, Deck Equipment, a Photo Board, and Rack Curtains from this swindler and months later after numerous unanswered phone calls, we were told that some of the items would not be available - after the items were already paid for and the government purchase card was already charged without authorization. When asked when the items would be available, we were told "never," because the company they were having manufacture the items for them decided not to do business with them anymore. When a refund of all monies was requested, we were told they had already spent the money and would get it back to us as soon as possible.  DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY OR FAST MARTY! YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF! PLEASE...DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST!  ! NATIONAL CITY, IMPERIAL BEACH, CORONADO, SAN DIEGO California

My ship purchased some items from this company (rack curtains, shackles, personal protective equipment such as goggles and hardhats, and some quarterdeck equipment - a photo board and message board) after Martin Mattis guaranteed these items would be delivered in time for INSURV. Months later, we still had not received most of the items and were told some of the items were no longer available. When asked for reimbursement for the funds which were charged without permission, we were told that the money was already spent and they didn't have the funds to reimburse us. Some of the items we did receive weren't the correct items or were manufactured from inferior materials and fell apart.

Each and every time we tried to get in touch with this company, they would either not return our phone calls or say everyone was out of the office. When we finally did get in touch with someone, "Fast Marty" Mattis, he would try to double-talk us and kept stalling for more time. When I did some investigating, I found that we weren't the first ship or command to experience these kinds of problems. Many commands had also been ripped off by these guys. When I drove to their new office, I found that almost all the employees were driving fancy new cars, fancy new clothes, and had new luxury office equipment, yet...this company didn't have the funds to reimburse us for the money they stole. Turns out that Fast Marty Mattis was FIRED from a former job with Veteran Logistics because of his under-handed dealings and shady reputation. I verified this.

Do NOT do business with this company or Fast Marty Mattis. They WILL con you with their smooth talk, take your money, and not deliver. There are plenty of reputible companies in the San Diego area who will not rip you off! Do your research!

I do not typically post comments online, but as a Naval Supply Officer, I feel it my utmost duty to protect my shipmates from getting burned. Beware of fast talking wolves in sheeps clothing...namely Fast Marty Mattis and Coronado Distribution Company!
