Corporate Imaging Solutions Tricks Customers Into Buying $35 Toner for $500. Internet

     This is a SCAM. The salesman calls, and is quite friendly and congenial. They typically call and speak with an unsuspecting/new employee to trick them into "accepting" a $500 toner cartridge that can otherwise be bought for $35.

     In my case, they called, asked me how my Ricoh copier was working, making sure everything was okay with it. They then told me that they were supposed to have shipped this toner out at the end of the year, but the order was missed. The rate had supposedly increased from $469 to $518, since then, but they were going to give us the rate we were "initially" supposed to get.

     I've only been here for 4 weeks, so it all sounded legit to me, and I said okay. I mentioned it to my boss, which is when she quickly told me that the other person who works here was scammed in the same way when he first started here. Fortunately, they called back today to "confirm" our shipment. At that point, I said, "No, actually, I just spoke with my--" *click*...they hung up.

     By all accounts, if you try to return the merchandise once it's been received, they do not respond, and if they do, they start threatening you with legal action.  This is a scam that appears legit but is NOT, and is trying to rip off unsuspecting customers.
