My brother (Rodelio) who speaks limited English, went with a nephew that he trust, and knows how to speak and understand English, went to look for a car. My brother, working as a laborer, showed his income which is $440.00 a week at that time. They sold a car let him sign papers without explaining to him, my brother asked many questions which were ignored and not answered. When my brother asked a copy of the bill of sale paperwork that he signed he was told by Mr. Simon Bunyack that they will mail his copy to him.

After a few days He went back to the car dealer demanding the paper work, he was told again that it is in the mail. When he received his copy of the sale paper work it contained only a bank statement saying how much his car payments were and the bank where he was going to send his monthly payments. My brother does not know anything about buying a car in the United States, and did not know what papers he was to obtain. His ignorance of this information was used by Mr. Bunyack. My brother, gave his bank statement papers to his sister to keep, she also has limited English and thinking that everything was legal and correct, put the bank statement away without reading. She did this while unaware that her brother was being ripped off.

Another thing that they did was to have my brothers nephew purchased a car under the name of my brother. This was done because at the time, the nephew was unemployed and unable to purchase a car. Through some very creative paperwork, the car was purchased, later it was discovered that my brother had also purchased this second car. When he found out he went back to the dealer to talk about the second car. The personnel at the dealership told him that he had only co-signed for the car and as long as the nephew is making the payments, he cannot return the car.

My brother believed this and thought that it was legal, the nephew had no car insurance at the time of the purchase. After a few months the nephew had an accident with his car and it was then that my brother found the nephew who is driving that car, was not on the title.

Mr. Bunyac, the car dealer, worked some very creative paperwork, going through multiple banks to obtain the financial clearance for this multiple car purchase. He knowingly sold my brother one car and allowed his cosigning for another with the full knowledge of the limited finances of my brother. He took full advantage of my brothers limited knowledge of English and of purchasing standards of this country.

When my brother discovered that he had to pay for two cars, he went to the dealer to clarify just what had occurred. He was told that they could do nothing and that my brother was to contact the bank which had financed the car. The bank as well refused to talk with him. Multiple request for copies of the contract and financial statements have been ignored, and now my brother is receiving payment request from a second bank of which he states he was unaware he had had any contact.

My brother has contacted Mr. Bunyac several times to obtain the full purchase contract and to return the second car, his efforts have been ignored. Mr. Bunyac did, one time request that my brother return the second car as a repossess to the dealership, but when he complied with this request, he was refused. Mr. Bunyac denied that he had passed this request to my brother. My attempts to assist my brother have resulted in having the dealership refusing to discuses this issue with me by stating that it is a confidentially issue and have refused to openly discuss it even with my brother in attendance. The result is that my brother is forced to make payments for a car that he has no claim to the title.
