Do Not Board Your Pet There For Their "Training Program"!

I was glad to find this website, because for a long time I have wanted to do something, but felt like I could do nothing. I was employed at Country Acres Kennels, and during my employment there I witnessed animals being abused multiple times at the hands of Donnie Praeger Jr., who at the time was the kennel manager.(He may no longer be the manager) Donnie is the son of the Kennel owner, Don Praeger Sr.. Donnie was also verbally abusive towards me during my employment with C.A.K.. I never heard Donnie make a racist comment, but was informed by other employees that they had heard such comments.

Many of the incidents of abuse I witnessed involved animals who were boarding at the kennel for their expensive "training program".

The animals were choked, slammed into walls, stepped on, and other such horrors. You may be asking yourself why I didn't report them... At the time I was young, uninformed of resources avaliable, and to top it all off Don Praeger is a member of the Humane Society Board.

I did not know who to turn to, and C.A.K. is known as a reputable business of many years with many loyal customers... If they only knew... I am not disgruntled, I was not fired, this is not about personal revenge- ITS THE UGLY TRUTH. For your Pet's Sake- Do Not leave them in the hands of those people!
