I currently reside in california with my daughter and the father resides in massachusetts. A court order was established for him to pay child support and it gets eft'd (electronic fund transfer) from Massachusetts to California. I have documentation , physical and verbal from Massachusetts child support services , of the dates the money was trasferred and California child support services holds that money for 5 days before giving it to me. Right now im going on day 6 that they still have my money because they dont do anything over the weekend. Its not right and i should have my money at least the following day of transfer. Now California doesnt have the actual date money was sent because they dont log the eft date received. They use the 5 days later date. Something scandelous is going on and i just want my money to support my daughter. Help!!

Electronic transfer is NOT instant

First thing you need to understand, electronic transfer is not and never be instant. There is always a couple of business days delay. This is not from anyone but banks themselves. There is nothing anyone can do with it. So you shouldn't blame on anyone but rather wait.
The only thing that has the least delay in transfer is local cash deposit.
