Coupon Travel Shop Max Savings Club Another Victim of Bait and Switch Deerfield Beach, Florida

Two months ago my wife had learned about a group called Max Savings Club.  This was an advertisement that showed up on Publisher's Clearing House website.  The add said that she had won, and she filled out the information, which lead to a phone call.  She agree to the free trial offer of Max Savings Club.  When we got the information about the Gas Voucher Program, we realized that it wasn't worth the effort. 

You had to pay a certain amount per month to get the vouchers and they would only refund you $10 per month for gas.  You would end up spending more money than you actually saved.  My wife is awaiting disability, and I am looking for another job.  We have been struggling financially and don't have money to waste.  My wife canceled the trial offer to Max Savings Club.  We were looking over our bank statement today and found a charge to Coupon Travel Shop.

We don't have the money to travel, so why would we want that?  We looked back and found that they have charged us last month too!  $16.95 a month for two months!  My wife called them immediately and asked them how they got off charging us.  The man on the phone said it was because she signed up for Max Savings Club.  My wife said that this was an unauthorized charge.  The man tried to claim that it was legal.  He said that he could cancel the account, but could not refund it. 

The cancellation code was #544.  (And I had just been reading reports on this site from other users that have had problems with Coupon Travel Shop, and that was the same cancellation code one other user reported).  But we have to call back and talk to the billing department tomorrow (Monday) to see about getting a refund.  Tomorrow I will also speak with my bank to see what I can do.
