Courtesy Ford Of Conyers service manager hired me, despite proper authority, then told me that he Conyers Georgia

I was hired June 13, 2006, by Shannon Martin, one of the service managers at Courtesy Ford in Conyers. The job description was thoroughly discussed as well as payscale and hours.

Mr. Martin stressed that he wanted me to start as early as that Friday (as this interview was conducted on a Tuesday), stating that all employees are drug screened and the results take two business days before a reponse back to the company.

At the time I had just taken a job that I was not very satisfied with but in turn not available to leave because financially, it would not permit. Accordingly, he asked if need be, I could place my two week notice and start work there after.

I felt that I would not need that long and could start Monday, June 19th, 2006. Mr. Martin agreed, we shook hands and then departed. Come that Monday, I call in, a hour before I was scheduled to work my first day (11:30-7:00), and Mr. Martin told me that he would have to "ok" it with his "boss" and then get back with me.

Time rolled by and that later became a week with no word from Mr. Martin. I finally came to the decision to talk to the general manager at Courtesy Ford, Jarryd Van Oostrom, as well as the supposed "boss" Mr. Martin was allegedly going to ask. Both were unaware of this situation or had not heard of me.

It has now been three weeks since then, and every attempt to discuss this matter with Courtesy Ford, has been at my will and own attempts. I am now jobless, in debt, and extremely distressed from this situation.
