This company cons people by providing TV & Internet services that you as a consumer have to pay for but they "DO NOT" stand by their promise to provide "quality" or a continues service!! You pay month after month and God forbid if you are later with your payment, they interrupt your service and charge you fees to turn it back on but if "THEY" don’t provide you with the service you are paying for ie.. Loss of signal, faulty boxes, no service due to tech issues, etc which can leave you w/out service "for days" they do nothing except to make excuses and send out incompetent techs which hard boot boxes and/or replace boxes but "NEVER" address the issues and/or "FIX THEM"!!!

For over 4 yrs now (yes I am an idiot for staying with them so long) I've had "Supervisors, Sr Techs, Contractors" come out to "troubleshoot" the service issues and they have never "FIXED ANYTHING"!!! All they do is change boxes and blame it on everyone else, never taking any responsibility for they lack of capability to fix their own technical issues!!!

I've lost at least a weeks (its more then this) worth of service in the past 4 yrs and I still have to pay for those days!!! By all accounts this is immoral and unscrupulous!! Just because they are a "big" company they feel they can get away with this type of "THEFT" (it is stealing if you pay for a service which you never receive)!! Any search online will prove what I am saying, there are 100, maybe thousands of consumers which have multiple issues with Cox for a bad service!!


You have a much better chance to get quality service if you go to DirecTv / Dish Network / Time Warner or anyone else for that matter!!!

It was a very nice try on your part.

You see you can say it wasn't about the late fees or disconnection, but if it truly wasn't about the fees YOU would not have brought them up.  Not only did you bring it up but it was almost the first thing wrote.

If it was truly about service you would have left them long ago according to all of your problems you say you have.  And it has nothing to do with you being an "idiot" it has to do with you not really thinking these problems were too big of an issue.  None of the "service" issues became a real problem until they disconnected your service for NON-PAYMENT.

Now it is standard procedure on this site that when someone posts something that they don't like and have nothing to defend what was said they turn around and accuse them of working for the company.  Well sorry, I do not now or have I ever worked for this or any other Cable Company.   As for not having anything better to do, I actually have plenty of time to do what I want and as for minding my own business...you are the one who posted on a PUBLIC web site and as such the PUBLIC may not always agree with you.

Nice try troll, this has nothing to do with disconnections or none payment! I'm sure your remedial education makes it difficult for you to follow the initial complaint.. This has to do with s*** service by a company that has thousands of complaints online for the same reason as mine.... S*** SERVICE!!

I’m sure your either an employee (sorry for you) or some dipshit who doesn't have anything better to do with his time then troll people online. Do yourself a favor, mind your own business moron!! Get a life troglodyte!

The truth...

The truth of this entire report is that you failed to make your regular payment and are trying to find any reason to justlfy why you shouldn't be held responsible.  Typical "deadbeat" move.

But let's humor you and take a look at your claims.  You "claim" that you have been without service for them for a weeks time over a 4 year period.  Okay, well you say "at least", so let's give you the benefit of the doubt and say it has been a total of 2 weeks.  Over a 4 year period that equates to about a 99.1% uptime.  Oh and don't try and say that it was much more than 2 weeks, because we all know that if it was you wouldn't have said a week, you would have said a month(or more).    Adding anything to this now looks like you are just trying to "pad" the numbers to make it sound more justified.

You then say that you shouldn't have to pay for days you don't have service.  Okay..again while you didn't say how much you pay them a month, let's be real generous and say you have pretty much the top level of service and are paying them $210/month.  Over an average 30-day month that equates to about $7/day..or over your 14 days of "non service" about $98.  Now of course you don't think it should only be $98 you probably figure a credit of several hundred dollars is in order for all of the "trouble" they put you through....right?

But as I said all of that is mis-direction for the REAL reason.  You have paid late on at least one occasion and don't think you should be charged late fees.  Because you come here and make it sound like you are late by even a few hours they hit you with all of these fees and immediatly cut off your service.  WRONG.   I had Cox(moved) and actually by accident did forget to pay my bill.  They did disconnect my service(soft disconnect) but it was not until I was about THREE WEEKS late. So already even if you were only late enough for them to disconnect your service one time you were later in your payment than they were in all of the service you "lost" over a 4 year period.  Now who is the thief?

Oh and as for Time Warner...if your area is serviced by Cox you can't get TW, and vise-versa.  As for the other carriers..yea just take a look and see their complaints and see if they would be a better choice.
