I worked for this outfit for one year. They install Burglar Alarms, CCTV System, and some Access Control. I turned down a much higher paying job to take this one. Bad choice. They install antiquated system, most everything is still hard-wired. If you want an up to date system, go to someone that sells the Honeywell Lynx or ReadyGuard systems, or the G.E. Systems. These are far more reliable, and if you move, you can easily take it with you. If you need service or repairs from CPP, expect on calling three times before the service manager calls you back. Also, expect a late charge on your bill, even if you paid on time. Benefits and a raise (Right) take six months instead of the standard three, probably because employee turnover is so high, they won't have deal with the paperwork. The only benefit is Kaiser, which you will have to pay a large chunk of, so after six months, even with a raise, you are bringing home less money. No 401K, Retirement, or Dental. The sales staff, is untrained, show up for appointments late, or don't show up at all. They were unable to close any sale leads that I gave them, so I got no commission. A new office manager was brought in after the office staff quit, and was assigned to be my supervisor, even though she had no sales or alarm experience. I had clients that would hang up if they called in and she answered. When I gave one months notice that I was leaving, my hours were reduced to part time, and no reason was given. More time is spent during sales meetings doing "Bible Study" then was given to actual company business. I would be surprised if this company is still around in one year.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Why would anyone leave a good paying job for less

AUTHOR: Pyehead - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, November 30, 2015

This whole report is a shame, first, I do not know anyone who is crazy enough to leave a good paying job for a less paying . Aside from that nonsrnse I worked for CPP few years ago and I reallly feel like I need to put my 2 cents in. The owner of this company has an extensive background in Public Safety and Security. His law enforment background and the fact that he is a founding member of the Sacramento Area Alarm Assocation.

I think that his qualifacations alone should stand for themselves, when there are so many that I can remember ,when he was sending some if not all of the staff to training for the current equipment , he always seeking the new and latest technology that was available. What I did for the company was not a sales or installer but he even sent me to learn so I would have the knowledge and experience to be able to help if needed.

To Fluffy whom ever you are I am sorry you are ungappy but I think you did something that you should not have and this is your way of making yourself look better. But the owner of this company is a very kind hearted, intellegent, caring person that strives for the highest quality of service for the clients and his employees. He is also a very giving person.

Best of Luck, Fluffy

AUTHOR: Cpp Management - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 08, 2008

We accepted Steve, "warts and all" so to speak- and we were happy to have him on our team.

While we are disappointed to discover that he is harboring such animosity towards the company, we understand that, as an employer, we cannot be all things to all people.

We wish Steve the best of luck in all his future endeavors.
