This number CONSTANTLY calls our cell phones! Phones that are paid for by ME NOT THEM. Taking up my time and my money and they do NOT respond to requests for answers as to how they got my information, why they are calling us, what right they have to ask for our financial information! Everytie I talk to them I get a DIFFERENT mailing address, so how can I even get a cease and desist letter to them!? It is a terrible fraud and a scam that NEEDS to stop. We live in a country where we should be protected from this crap!
I am a protected state employee who works with the criminal justice system DAILY and I cna't even get these people to stop. I owe them nothing and they don't care. They call me anyways! ITs rude, unjust and completely uncalled for! I hope they get what they have given out to all the innocent people out there like us, being harassed on a regular basis! In the middle of teacher conferences, meetings at work, dinner with my children and friends...weekends, holidays, evenings, early monrings! THEY DON'T CARE. They call anytime they please. I hate it and it hurts. Even if someone does owe money - this is NOT how to go about getting it, they are only hurting others and possibly costing them more money that they could use to pay their bills. This insanity with the samming must stop.
PLEASE if you get a call from these idiots, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION!! You will NOT be paying your debts, you are contributing to a scam and will lose out in the end!! Be sfae, deal with only reputible people/companies and never share your account information, name, address...etc.... DON'T STAND FOR IT! Fight back! Stick it to them and lets get them back!
How do we make it stop with so much annonymity on the web?? ANYONE can be behind ANY scam and pass it off as true life .... what has our world become??

If they are calling your cell phones and asking for a specific person... If you are not the person that they are asking for, legally, they cannot release any information. Automated calls are set up (and unfortunately I have never gotten to hear an automated outgoing call). Certegy has several mailing addresses - as it has several office buildings and divisions. Here is what you can do to get calls to stop
Accept ONE call. Ask them to note that they are dialing a cell phone and you are incurring fees as a result. Regardless of your business with them (even if its just a wrong number) you need to send them a letter ( I would send certified mail), which states your name, address, and the cell phone number(s) that they are dialing, explicitly informing them that they are dialing a cell phone number. (If they are dialing you as a wrong number plz inform them of that as well). You will also need to plainly tell them that you wish for all telecommunications to the above number(s) to cease. Once received, they have a specific amount of time (I believe its 30 days, its been a while so research it) to comply.
However, even if it's a wrong number, each time any account comes in with that particular phone number on it, you may initially receive calls until they verbally contact you once, at which point in time, refer to your letter .. which by then will hopefully by on file already on any related accounts. Be sure to keep a photocopy of your letter.
Good luck.
