Let's take it one point at a time. Here's what he advertized, and what he said would happen on the "hunt":

Our Southern Zone Whitetail Deer hunting on our farm in Otsego County are on privately owned and managed land.

He took us to poorly placed and difficult to find tree stands with no chance of seeing game within shooting range. Exactly as a previous review stated (which I wish I had read before booking this trip) His giuiding service amounted to pointing from the side of the road toward the woods and saying "It's right up there in the corner of the field". It wasn't and as a result the whole first morning of hunting was ruined stomping around looking for the stand. The privatley owned and managed land is so busy overhunted and busy that there was not a buck within 5 miles of these fields. Hunters were placed so closely together that it was rediculous.

Our hunters enjoy home cooked meals and comfortable lodging.

Home cooked meals were disgusting. Runny eggs and burnt toast was the best of it. We dont mind roughing it but if I wanted to camp then I would have come prepared to do so. This guide is a scam artist with no conscience.

The lodging was nothing like the description on his web site. We had rusty cots with no linens. No hot running water. No heat. The "lodge" is a rented, 4 bedroom 1 bathroom house with 9 guys sleeping with their doors open to try and get some heat from the one electric heater in the hall. The sounds and smells were worse than I experienced in my 20 years in the military. This was simply theft by deception. And of course you have to pay cash in advance. Chris Palumbo is not an honest businessman.

Our deer herds are in excellent condition with a large harvest expected due to mild winters and abundance of corn, alfalfa and clover grown in our area.

Herds? Please...... We saw 4 does in the 2 days we were able to force ourselves to stay.

He didn't guide anything or anyone. He pointed to the stands and went home.

Save your money and you time off. Find one of the many reputable guides in New York who will help you design a successful and enjoyable hunt. This guy is not one of them
