My daughter ordered a piece of artwork (hand made coronet) in March 2008. She spoke to and received e mail confirmation that such a piece was already made and available and ready to go. My daughter mailed a check for $222 on 3/22/08, which was cashed by Jan Wyman/Crafty Fox Artworks on 3/26/08.
My daughter has made several calls and sent several e mails to this woman over the last 4 months asking when she would receive her order. Her calls went unanswered.
The wedding to which my daughter was planning on wearing this coronet has been and gone.
I called this woman last night and she refuses to refund the money saying she doesn't have $222! She was rude and confrontational on the telephone and hung up on me when I asked her what she was going to do to remedy the situation.
I will be e-mailing this to the vendor and unless my daughter is refunded $222 by Friday, August 1st, will be bringing legal action against her, and posting this on every website that deals in her area of goods.
If payment is received by next Friday, we will remove this Ripoff Report.

A refund for the $222 was received on August 1st, which settles this matter. We were uncomfortable having to push so hard and make an ultimatum but the vendor was not responsive to earlier polite requests. In her defense she sounded like she had a bad chest cold on the telephone and said she was nursing a sick parent. I can empathize with her on this, however, she made no effort to contact us to let us know of the delay (four months). I think self-employed vendors in any business should post info on their site saying that orders will take a specific number of days/weeks/months to fill, especially if they are ill. Or post a temporarily unavailable to fill orders sign on their sites. While this vendor has apparently been in business a long time and the photos of her work look admirable, this experience has made us think twice before placing such online orders. Would suggest customers find out what fairs etc she will be selling her creations and buy on site rather than online.
