So where can I start off with this company. You may be approached or see an ad in careerbuilder.com for Acting, modeling, extras needed, apply today! I called this company and they told me they have an opening slot immediately to come in for an interview to see if i'm good enough to become a model. So I walk in their cheap office which has many branches all over and was asked to fill out an application and received an interview. I cannot believe how much B.S. I was fed from the "agent" on how i'd make the perfect model, and I have the perfect body and looks. They'll tell you that you'll start off with smaller projects making anywhere from 250-$1000 a day. Worse of all they'll tell you they have a professional photography company they know of and they charge "only" $600. Well, turns out they'll rush you to sign a paper and tell you this guy they use is VERY busy and only has time on Monday's and Tuesday's otherwise you're out of luck and may have to wait weeks.
Then they say they have no relation with the photographer, which they do, infact it's their own photographer who probably makes 10-15 bucks an hour. They will tell you they will make sure you look good, use make up artists, and the photography is at it's best. Well once you pay them, they will rush you in a 30-45 minute shoot with a bunch of cheap photos without them telling you to do this or that, and get you out the door as fast as possible. Then you will start receiving e-mails all over the west on 10-15 dollar an hour part time jobs, or jobs that most people wouldn't qualify for. They will basically accept anyone who pays them the $600 and then they hardly know you after that. They refused to retake any photos even though they said if the photos are bad they will retake them. This I would call is a legit Scam and can't believe this company has not been shut down for doing this to people. I have sent 2 other friends that are not model material to this agency and they told them they are accepted, but obviously they didn't sign up. Good modeling agencies will NOT charge you any fees up front. STAY AWAY FROM CRAZE AGENCY, they will lie and say that they never promised or guranteed anything to get way with it. None of their agents are even real or licensed, and they will not send you to a professional studio to take any pictures, they take it in their cheap office with their cheap equipment.

Our Opinion Of The Craze Agency

Well I was surprised to see this report here and really I will just give my opinion of the Craze Agency. We think it is a spectacular agency and know that they hire free lance photographers because we are a company that uses them for our own promotional work for local, national, and international models. We pay more then $15 a hour, and honestly it is closer to almost $100 hour, but depends on how long we use the model for, promotional work etc.
We do not get paid to take any sides, but we like the staff of the Craze Agency and the people we have met from there have been very nice. We did not see anything wrong with their office and as we saw on another comment, we would rather see the agency put their dollars in promotion then in trying to look fancy. That is a big reason why we like working with them so much because they are down to earth normal people and they do not try to come across as something they are not. I do not know how or why the person felt ripped off, and honestly I do not think there is a model material because I know from experience models can range from all ages and sizes.
They represent many models who work with huge names and small names in the industry which is why it is so hard to really believe that the person was ripped off as the agency does suggest that classes and good photos do help. I have worked with many models and different types of talent and $600 is a excellent price for photos. We pay average of anywhere from a $1,000 to $1,800 for a photo shoot and then some extra expenses.
We just thought we would leave a comment in support of the Craze Agency because we are one of their advertising clients and we appreciate them working with us to help us with our advertising needs that they provide us with their models.

I am a full time school teacher, and to pick up a little extra cash I have signed up with Craze Agency. Yes, the first photos were a little pricey, but they printed them up- about 300, with their logo and they look good. I never felt rushed or pushed. The photographer seemed excellent to me, he and I shot about 40 shots, and I have all of those photos. He took his time and I wore lots of different outfits and then the agency and I selected the best one for the head shots. I made up the money for the photos on the first two jobs they sent me out on as extra's in movies being shot around my house. I have gone to several try outs, mostly commercials and minor parts in movies, and I have not gotten the parts, but that is the way the business works. I have also gone on a few and gotten the role, and gotten a fat check a few weeks later. They are constantly sending out e-mails letting me know about different opportunities for work. Sometimes they don't interest me, sometimes they do. Sometimes I get the part, sometimes I don't. That is just the way it works. I wouldn't suggest someone try this for a living, it's just fun, and you make a few extra bucks. Most time the drive to the photo shoot is longer than the actuall shoot, and twenty minutes our out of there and then craze is good to send the check. I have no complaints about this company or their treatment.
As far as the complaint goes, I only know about two offices they have, one in Sandy Utah, and one in Boise. I didn't think it was 'cheap' and would rather they spend their money promoting me rather than a posh office.
