Same story as the other 3 negative reports and you have to ignore the rebuttal that someone wrote since it doesn't even speak to the issue.. that persons wants magazines vs. everyone else NOT wanting any and trying to stop the flow.

I would be curious and frankly "floored" if she is able to stop the onslaught and flood of magazines when she no longer wants them. Anyway, this has recently also happened to me. Wife agreed, paid the 25 dollars they ask for to start the program and ask that you don't cancel. Well we got our first magazine shortly thereafter and called to cancel since what we got was not what we expected.

Now the calls won't stop, according to them we owe something like $80 and they will not stop the magazines. $80 for less than one month subscription??? after they took our initial $25. Obviously, if this was a reputable company they would be concerned about satisfying customers and not resorting to harassing them.

Anyway, very curious to find out if this company has actually referred any accounts to collectors which report to the credit bureaus. As long as no one has experience a negative outcome in terms of their credit report then no need to sweat it. I'm pretty sure magazine type of "debt" as this company refers to it... can not be reported to the bureaus. They don't collect SSNs right? My wife dosen't recall giving it to them so it would be hard for them to get this on your bureaus. In the mean time, as long as they don't negatively impact me, I can continue to screen my calls and only talk to them when I have the time to talk to them...

Like over the weekend while watching a game or in the evening after dinner. I don't mind talking to them and increasing their "cost to collect" or wasting their time so that they don't bother others who do mind. As a matter of fact, I think I will start calling them when I have nothing better to do. Time spent on me is a waste of their time and I am all about wasting their time (time is money). Please do respond or make a post if this company does actually report to the bureaus.... All of us who are affected would need to know in order to fight it.

Now you call a 800 number where you are told you can win $250,000 all you have to do is order some magazines. Simple enough. You have one month to cancel. So you pay for a five year subcription for one magazine (U.S. News) which comes out to $66.00 a month and then you are supposed to also recieve free 3 year subsciptions for 5 other magazines.

I went for this because it sounded like a good deal. So for the first two months I recieved all of the U.S. New each week. I also recieved 3 of the 5 magazines I had ordered and two that I did not. I called and told them about this and they assured me that it would be taken care of right away. I had to call twice about that.

When the third month rould around I stoped recieving most of the magazines. I called to complain and they told me that it would be taken care of right away.

The Forth month rould around and only two magazines had showed up. Fed up I called customer service again and complained. They told me that they would talk to the publishers again and offered to bring my payments down to $30.00 a month after I told them I was fed up and wanted to cancel. They went on to tell me that I was in a contract with their company and that I could not cancel because the cancellation time was long past.

Pissed off I stopped paying. And every month they called and I explained that I would pay when I recieved the product that I had been paying for. During this time I began to recieve more magazines none of which I had ordered. Then I would recieve a bill in the mail for these magazines. I called CRC again in a last ditch effort to stop the insanity.

Again I was told that I was not able to cancel and that they had done everything that they could to help me out and I was not upholding my end of the contract.

Finally in August I finally contacted my lawyer and asked his advise. After talking to him I called them back asked for a manager who was very nice and helped me cancel the service. It is my bielef that the only non incompotant person who works there is a very nice Woman named Shaniqua who is a night manager. After explaining everything to her she did cancel my subsciptions (which now I get all of on time go figure) and also got rid of all that I owed to CRC for the magazines that I did not recieve
