upon reviewing my credit report i foud a failed to pay mark. i immediately contacted the company as this was the only negative informatin on my credit report. i was told that the referenced debt was for equiptment not returned to my local cable company. the equiptment was of course returned so i contacted the cable company who told me they were going to conduct an inventory of there warehouse to fix the misunderstanding. the problem is neither company notified me of any attempt to collect any debt so i would have a chance to nip this in the bud. credit management made the claim that they had called my home and sent letters to my address wich was simply untrue. so for a $ 100 imaginary debt my credit score dropped nearly 100 points.
