I closed this account in 1999. Paid in full, whatever... Today, June 2, 2006, I received a collection letter for a $110.00?????? So, I called the collection agency, run-a-round. Basically my job to prove, etc. etc. Basically they need NO proof that they have a bill that you never paid? Guilty until proven innocent? So I called the credit card company that held my account 7 YEARS AGO, they changed their name but still same phone number. The NICE woman who anwsered my call and DID tell me that my account was paid and closed told me that she would get into trouble if she faxed me proof and then referred me to her supervisor who told me the account was sold to so and so. ACCOUNT SOLD TO?????? IT WAS PAID AND CLOSED!!!!! WHAT IS THERE TO SELL????????
