 I'm a teacher. I care about kids and when I came to the school I was excited by all the bells and whistles. I loved the idea of the broadcasting room and the coconut room and the art room and everything that parents see on a tour. I have a child so I was delighted that they gave me a small discount. However, following the state allegations I had to leave. They managed to cover up everything including the fact that their previous director embezzled thousands of dollars. I'm here on this site because it's not okay to treat children the way that they do, it's not okay to pretend that you are the best school in town when you are merely a babysitting service that claims to care about children. Not only is nothing as it seems but the state was correct when they wrote them up for child abuse, leaving a child – an infant – during a fire drill and much more.. Pinching children is the worst way to inflict damage and they know it. Pinching doesn't cause a physical Mark but it does hurt a child and they are often use it as a form of punishment. It's simply not okay to leave children at the zoo and cram them into one bus when the other dies – and then drive everyone home in an overcrowded, dangerous and precarious situation. These kinds of things happen all the time and you have no idea how much I wanted to tell the parents. However, I left knowing in my heart that I was not doing the right thing. After much thought I have decided to let people know that your child isn't safe, the teachers don't know best practices or they would be engaging in the state's quality rated program. The school is not accredited by anyone because they don't want people coming into their program to see what they are doing. I beg you to find a different school or rather daycare because this is what you are paying a lot of money for! Babysitting. I worked so hard with so many of these children and watched as they learned more from each other then they did from their lazy caretakers. If you have a child here then think twice. I truly hope that some of the kind teachers that I know will find better employment and stop drinking the Kool-Aid. Many would leave if they could but cannot find employment elsewhere. Children are not commodities and $'s but that's what they are at this organization. Run, don't walk. I only wish I had posted this months ago.
