i went to the cricket center and was told that for $99.95, i would receive my phone and one month free service. after receiving the phone and finding out it was a cheap phone that did not work properly i went back to the center to cancel my new account because of the phone and their terrible customer service.
After spending over an hour there, they finally credited my account .they charged me for the time i spent trying to get the phone to work properly which i never did. A week later i received a bill for $160.00. try to contact someone at 1-800-cricket, it is a joke! there is no way to get a live person. i will now have to go to the center and wait for another hour to tell me i do not owe the $160.00. The bill didn't even add up to $160.00.
Cricket is the worse company that i have ever dealt with. please if anyone reads this do not go with cricket. i hope i can get this phoney bill resolved but based on their customer servie, i doubt that it will ever be resolved,
Jan

So as I understand it, you bought a phone for $99 that ended up not working correctly. Did you try to get it replaced under warranty?
Also, you claimed that Cricket had terrible customer service. Did you call the Customer Service number to try and resolve the issue? Furthermore, what problems were you having with the phone? Also, remember that the phones are not made by Cricket, Cricket only gives service to the cell phones.
You said that they charged you for the time to get the phone working? I've never heard of that before.
Lastly, concering the bill, when did you disconnect/cancel your Cricket service? On the same day? If it was the next day or two after having the phone, Cricket's billing system automatically sends a bill for month's due date.
