Cross Country Bank ripoff Boca Raton Florida

I have had an account with this worthless company less than 8 months.To cut down the amount I pay on monthly bills, I closed 8 credit card accounts. And, this is one of the ones I closed.

I have NEVER been late on any credit card payment. All 8 credit card accounts are in good standing. But, now this creep of a company has placed not one but TWO late fees on the account and my now good credit report has two late pays on it.

I called the jerks (and they are very rude)to let them know I find this bizarre! I asked them to look into the account to see if I was ever late. The lady said no.

I told her that I did not receive a monthly statement last month, and that unfortunately I go off the statements to pay what needs to be paid for the week.

I obviously didn't get the statement. So she then went over my address, and it is accurate. I then asked her to remove the charge of $30.00 and I would send the two months owed plus 10%. She said she could not take off the late fee.

I became furious. I asked to speak to the supervisor and when that snotty hagg came on, she stated the same thing as the original rep. That the fee could not be removed.

I told her as well that since this was the first time I was ever late this was absurd! She then after the original rep told me this was the first late, proceeded to tell me this was the second time I was late.

I was boiling told her she needs to relook the account and she started going off on me. I asked her when the payment was due. She said it is always due on the 18th of the month. Well, that's funny! I just got the statement yesterday! (June 20th,)

I only owe these creeps 150 bucks and that's it. But I can tell you as a word of the wise, send a check. This way you have proof from the bank when the check was cashed. Also, keep these jerks paid first thing every month. I think if we all pay them what we owe, we will save the credit that we have tried so hard to reestablish, and throw that card away. Also, word of mouth.
