I used CruiseCompete to get a quote for two connecting rooms.  The travel agent at Cruises-N-More found two connecting rooms on the 9th deck that were suitable.  I was traveling with my elderly mother who needed assistance, so it was absolutely necessary that we have connecting rooms.  I was told I needed to pay for the rooms right away so that they were secured for us, which we did so.

When our party arrived at the ship to check in, we were informed that one of the rooms was changed to three floors lower and the other end of the ship from the connecting room that we had paid for.

Cruises-N-More never notified me of this change.  The ship offered us $200 in onboard credits because the room was changed.  Cruises-N-More didn't even credit our account the money when they made the switch.

Cruises-N-More tried to blame the cruise line for the room change, saying it was booked under the wrong promotion.  It's interesting that the other room wasn't changed and it was booked at the same time.  I was told by the cruise line that it would be illegal for them to change our reservation and that it was most definitely Cruises-N-More that made the room change.

Cruises-N-More said that if they would have known we were traveling together they would have tried to keep us together.  How could they not know we were traveling together?  I made the reservation for both rooms at the same time, I paid for half of my room and half of the connecting room on my credit card.  I was very specific with the travel agent that we MUST have connecting rooms and I paid for those specific rooms.

I was told by Cruises-N-More that the rooms aren't linked in their system but when I made the reservation the travel agent kept sending me the invoice for the connecting room and not mine, he wrote, "I believe the issue comes from the two reservations being linked in our system."  Unfortunately, the very helpful travel agent that I was dealing with is no longer working there.

I heard there was a mechanical problem with another ship sailing around the same time as mine and I believe Cruises-N-More was able to make more money off the connecting room I paid for so they bumped me to a less desireable category room.
