I recently found out through my plumber that one of my vanity tops that was installed by Crystalline Products had a crack in it. He had me look under the sink to show me where they had tried to cover up the crack when they installed it by putting putty/sealant in the crack. I called the owner of Crystalline Products, Doug, to tell him about the issue and to ask him to come out and take a look. He started denying responsibility even before he came by to take a look at what the issue was. I told him he needed to come by and take a look at it and he told me he'd be by the next day. After he didn't show up or call, I called him back and rescheduled. He came out and looked and continued to deny responsibility and even said my plumber did it, even though the plumber was the one who pointed out the problem and showed me the extensive effort that Crystalline Products made to cover it up.
After this discussion, he told me that he'd take care of it. I told him the sale of my house was schedule to close later in the month and he said they'd get out there before it closed to fix the problem. After not hearing from them, I called to see what the delay was as my house was scheduled to close in 2 days and I needed to get this done. They finally showed up the morning of the scheduled closing after 2 more phone calls on my behalf. After they installed the new vanity top, they handed me a bill for over $300. I told the installer that I had already had this discussion with Doug who said he would "fix it" and I would not be paying any bill. They went back upstairs and tore the new top out and didn't even have the decency to put the old one back on. I spoke with Doug again on the phone and he did nothing but start denying any responsibilty again.
These guys are absolute crooks and their word is garbage. Do not do business with them or you will be as sorry as I am. I look forward to protesting in front of their booth at all the upcoming home shows in the Columbia area.

Mr. Jeff Clary failed to mention that his vanity top was several years old and out of warranty for more than a year. Had the crack been in the counter top when it was installed, normal dirt and grime would have made the crack stand out like a sore thumb.Surely he would have seen it during the year of warranty period. The crack was inbetween the faucet holes in a very visable area. It appeared to me that it had been damaged by over tightening the faucet. The puddy that he claims was used as a cover up was merely modeling clay that is used as gasket material in the manufacturing process. The claims that we did not get to his job fast enough are exagerated, we got there as soon as we had the opportunity. We were extremely busy at that time. We actually moved his order ahead because of his closing. When he was presented with the invoice for the work he becameabusive to my employees. I tried to resolve the problem over the phone, but he threatened me with violence. At that point I became concerned for my employees safety and told them to collect our things and to get out of there as quickly as possible. We at Crystaline Products try hard to make our customers happy. We have been in business for over 20 years and this is the first time I have ever experienced any thing like this. We could have and would have resolved the issue had he given us the opportunity. I can not condone the use of abusive language and threats of violence toward me and my employees. As you can tell by the tone of his letter reasoning with him would be impossible. Please contact us if you have any questions about this report as his behavior is still afavorite topic of conversation of my employees.
