cs champions online atari online Bogus charges. fraululent charges for atari games? Los Gatos, California

March 3rd  I ordered diabetic socks at amazon.com and pad with my amazon.com credit card.  I ONLY use that card at amazon. it never leaves the house. There is no on in the house to use the card.

There were two emails sent back and forth between myself and amazon about possibly changing the shipping method.

March 3rd I got two charges on my Amazon.com credit card for $25 twice from a company called CS Champions Online.

I'm thinking who is CS champions online?

I call the credit card company and they say Atari games? Well I don't own any atari games.

They said check the website...shoot..I pull up CS champions and see lots of consumer complaints about rip-offs and bogus charges.


NOW two things I can tell you.

1) my credit card information has been stolen before after making purchases at Amazon.com
Now I only use a separate card so I can closely monitor transactions..
2) I may have...but I'm not sure...entered the card number at a site to does storage (like hotfile, rapidshare, filesonic). Normally I would not do that. It wasn't hotfile that ripped me off... but possibly one of those type of sites

I never made any purchases at CS Champions. I've never visited their site.

I reported the fraud and my credit card company issued me a new card number.

Amazon swears their site is secure.

my advice is to:
1) use a separate card at Amazon.
2) use a special card for online purchases..and monitor it closely.
some cards offer a unique one time card info ordering online.
3) if Paypal is offered, use them BUT ONLY for purchases within 45 days..and always use a credit card to make payment.


I did not do much investigatiing..as soon as i saw CS champions was a frequent ripoff I contacted the fraud department of my credit card.
