CTI Collection Services breaking law, harrassing, fraudulent claims to employer ripoff Chicago Illinois

This company called my house and spoke to my wife shortly after i arrived home from iraq. They (Ms. Taylor) that i owed $511.00 to them. She demanded a payment over the phone be made. My wife said she would talk to me about it and Ms. Taylor threatend her by saying that she needed it now or she would garnish my entire paycheck next payday. My wife freaked out and gave them our bank info and called me at work and told me about it.

I quickly called the bank and did a stop payment on the check. I also spoke to the banks VP and she stated that i should close the account because they would still get the money if they asked for 1 cent over or under.

I then called CTI and asked what it was about and told them i did a stop payment on the check and i do not authorize them to make any transaction on my account. I asked for proof of me owing any money ( I still havent gotten it). They began calling my work trying to find me.

After calling several people they got in touch with me. I told them to quit calling me at work and of course they didnt. They called around attempting to find my commanders number and called me screaming for my commanders number. Of course nobody would give it to them.

Finally, someone did and they told my commander i had written a check on a closed account and owed money. Luckily i produced the stop check form signed by me and the bank. I also stated that i asked for proof and after three weeks havent been given any. They called saying they were calling from a legal department.

Needless to say they are not allowed to call your work when they know your employee doesnt approve. They are not allowed to make false claims (bouncing a check). They cannot impersonate someone else (legal). I have 10 witnesses to include my commander and deputy commander plus my troops who all are writing statements at our legal office about this.
