Smooth talkers, but ultimately VERY suspect.

I just had a call from CTI in Newport Beach.  I did not take advantage of their 20% per month investment opportunity.  I did, however, find Jack Logan's response to my query regarding what CTI stood for.  He said it was the first initials of the three children of the owner.

I'm just peeved at how many times my phone has been called by  these people. I quickly jumped on the web even though I've got a terribly hectic schedule. When I saw this RIPOFF REPORT I quickly established an account just to add a straws weight to the response overly assertive phone sales people are due.

I've been called multiple times in the last month by persons identifying themselves as representing "CTI", even though my number is in the Do Not Call Registry.  The voice is different each time. The presentation is rapid-fire and practised, as if the individuals are part of a boiler room operation, although the typical boiler room background sounds aren't evident. A few calls ago the person claimed that I had expressed an interest in trading stocks, implying that I had contacted CTI for information, although this is completely untrue.  Today's male caller identified the company as "CTI in Newport Beach", which I presume is Newport Beach, California, since I live in California, too.  In my mind, there are multiple reasons why I would not do business with this company:

1. Ignoring the Do Not Call Registry.
2. Lying about having contacted them in the past for information.
3. Calling repeatedly over a short period of time after I had told them I'm not interested in their product or service.
4. Using a vague, ambiguous abbreviation for the company name, instead of stating its full name.

I am not truly rebutting your entry. I too have been contacted by "CTI" and feel it is this same company, and I'm a bit leary, yet they told me they were out of Newport Beach, CA. A quick lookup on the www.BBB.org site shows a "legitimate" A-rated CTI (Currency Trading International, Inc) in Newport Beach. I don't know for sure if this is the same group, but, I do trust the BBB site for unbiased opinions.
