The charge starts immediatedly the time auctually spent may differ from the charge. You may come out better buying your part somewhere else unless it is an emergency.

If you work there you  had better watch your time card real careful, espessialy overtime. They try to get you wherever they can. Take pictures of the injured part and pictures thereafter and demand the replaced part back. (It is your part). If you dont make the demand up front, then you may have nothing coming. Some of the replaced parts are still may be of some core value.
