   Somehow, I don't see Joe, who has complained of being impoverished by various government agencies, going on a luxury cruise.    

A rip off because you feared being put off the ship.  What a crock.  So long as you behave yourself on the cruise, which these people apparently could not, you are in no danger of being asked to leave the ship.  Pretty simple huh?

I always wanted to take a cruise but with this economy, the only surfing I do is the net.

I also like to check and see that I am being read and I am.

The story about the cruise comes direct from The New York Post, a couple of days after the offer was made to me about the tickets. A megachurch minister apparently took advantage of that deal. He is not a Jew.

The Colonel mentioned in this story is a well-known advocate for affirmative action and protecting people's civil rights which is why he stayed in the service so long to defend those right.

There used to be a lot more people participating before Facebook got so huge but
i guess they are all hanging out over there.


I  like the multiple personas I see here concerning the  1  or 2 people who post responses to what I write. And I like seeing the same writing style and the different names the same person uses, but, it's all fun.

in my house, we only have one i phone and one computer that is inter-net capable right now and a lot of people who live here --gets hectic at times.

That reminds me that should we ever have another chance to go on a cruise where those untoward remarks will not be used, I want to make sure it has wi-fi.

There are ways to handle disagreements without using emotional and derogatory terms.

I felt ripped off because I was afraid that if I went, I would not be as rich as these two old people and they would dump me off somewhere  because of my religious belief.

Once you have had a grandparent escape the Shoah and you had a father who was a translator for the U.S. Army when those camps were liberated, it does tend to color your perception.

If it wasn't obvious before Joe from Austin, it is very obvious now that for what ever reason you want to try and hide who ever you are when you are posting sometimes.  Turning off the CAPS LOCK was a nice touch but sorry..it didn't work.  As based on a post to another report that you actually did use your name, it is very obvious that you are posting this one as well.  That is unless there are two people in Austin who had the chance to go on the QE2 because the people that couldn't go were going to give them a huge discount on the tickets.

I really don't know why you find it neccessary to post under different names, but quite frankly could care less.  I believe that this is the 3rd or 4th name you have used and only you know the reason why.  Of course no one, short of the EDitor, can stop you from posting here.  But if you are going to post here have the "guts" to at least post it under one name.

How is this a rip-off? You are citing something that happened to someone else whom you dont know and you have yet to explain your own, personal, bad experience with this cruise line. The least you could do was go on the cruise and either update your experience or do us all a favor and never file a rip-off report when you have not been ripped off. I hope the site removes your 'complaint'. Seems you merely want to toot your own horn. Your complaint makes no sense to me.

Contrary to your ROR title, they were NOT in fact put off the boat.  That was apparently threatened but did not happen. 

Given the fact the wife is apparently well known for making dubious, and most likely patently false, claims...why should you be concerned?  If the person said what she claims, that is cause to ask to be moved to another table.  Not go off on a tirade.  Given the fact their alcohol was confiscated, it sounds more likely that they were not handling it too well. Another unbelievable part is about their being confined to quarters.  If someone is confined to quarters for behavior, on most cruise lines, a guard is placed to ensure they don't "slip out."  Had they been caught after slipping out, the Commodore would have been well within his rights to put them off at the next port. Plus the NY Post is about as believable a news organization as the Enquirer these days.

As long as you behave yourself, there is no reason to fear taking the cruise.
