I was reviewing an article on HealthNews 4 program that was written by Stephanie Allen. She had done a test study on the effects of the Acai berry and whether or not it actually did affect weight loss. Ms. Allen did a 4 week test and at the end of the test concurred that the Acai berry, did, indeed affect weight loss. She then gave two websites where an individual could try both products on a trial basis for a small nominal fee of $2.95 per supplement for shipping and handling. Use both for results like Stephanie At that time, I thought well she did an actual test on it - and it seemed to be true - so I thought I would try it, thinking what do I have to lose. Bad choice all the way around. I ordered both products with my debit MasterCard. The next morning, at approximately 9:00 a.m., I was inundated with numerous calls from individuals requiring verification information for my order of the two products. The callers presented themselves as individuals who were verifying my order, my name, my address, and then proceeded to tell me that I was also going to receive a bonus of various types of cards, WalMart, gas card, etc. That my card would be charged and that I could cancel it at any time. I do remember on one call that I had told the lady that I wasnt agreeing to anything, because I had not ordered the things that she was talking about on the phone.

I wasnt able to reach anyone at the ColonThin Company. Which, by the way, I never did receive ColonThin. I received Colon Cure instead, along with Tri-Slim, which I did not order. I then emailed them, and told them that I was very unhappy with the unprofessional way that their company handles business. I further let them know that I was basically harassed by numerous advertisers the next morning for most of the day. I also told them that I was going to make sure that someone knew how they handle business. I also demanded a formal letter of apology from their CEO. I also referred to the fact that all of my personal information was basically given out to advertising companies, which I do not know. My name, my address, and even my debit card information were given out. Needless to say, I was livid and it showed in my email to them. Within minutes, I received an email from them that my Colon Cure had been cancelled, and they were sorry for the inconvenience. Later I went into my bank account and found that three of the companies had already charged my bank account with charges for things that I did not order, nor want. So I had to call these companies back and tell them that I wanted everything cancelled, and that I wanted my refund back. I was told that it could take up to 30 days. Funny, it only takes them minutes to take your money, but it takes them 30 days to give it back.

Anyway here is the information that I feel you might need to do an investigation on this company. I cant imagine how many people just let this kind of thing go, and do nothing about it imagine the amount of money that they make by doing this to innocent people. Bargain Dining Pkg - 1-88-265-2989 - $12.10. I tried calling them to cancel - but due to the Thanksgiving Holiday - their office was not open. I will try again on Monday 11/30/09. I was horrified to find out that all of my personal information had been given out to total strangers! Something really needs to be done about this. These companies need to be shut down. I would appreciate any help that can be given to me regarding this. I am hopeful that my money will be credited to my account. I had no idea that a simple order for two items could turn into such a nightmare of deception, unethical and unprofessional behavior on the part of ColonThin. Not only did I have to take time to cancel all of these orders, but I have to keep a check on whether my money is refunded. An on top of that my email has been swamped by nothing but advertisers from all over. I have to keep deleting them. This is absolutely horrible.
