I have a party rental and manufacturing business in which I build and then sell dunk tanks to people all over the United States.  My customer, Curtis Lovell, purchased a dunk tank on January 14, 2015.  He paid with a credit card then later disputed the charge for being not as described.  He received the chargeback (full credit, all his money back). 

He never contacted me asking for his money back.  He never returned the item to me.   In fact, currently and for the past several months he uses my pictures from my website rockrental.com/dunk-tanks.html to market the dunk tank on his own website. How ironic that he claims the item is "not as described" yet uses the same pictures off my website to market and describe to his customers a dunk tank that he rents for $295 per day.  What a scam.  These pictures are from my back yard with my daughter as the dunk tank participant.  See Curtis’s website in which he advertises the same dunk tank for rent in his business for $295 per day. Yes he is benefiting from the possesion and rental of the dunk tank and has received all his money back.  Clearly this is fraud.

I called his personal cell number which is his only phone number displayed on his website and he answered the phone.  I asked him why he disputed the item and got his money back and never made any attempt whatsover to return the item.  He said he was having dinner and would get back to me.  Of course he did not.  Just another lie.

I read the following Ripoff report from another victim.  This person wrote more detail about Curtis the crook.  All their description of Curtis is believable based on what I went through and experienced in this back and forth ordeal I played with my bank and Square, my credit card processing bank.

Watch out for this guy, because he appears to be charming when you encounter him. His magic and tricks are quite convincing, and he appears to be using these gimmicks to seek out those individuals he can steal from. Some other key things you need to know about him is that he is extremely manipulative and clever. He knows how to get around the laws and avoiding court appearances. Some tactics that he has used were, filing chapel 7 and constants uses of alias names, addresses and Web sites.

Based on his track record, I predict Curtis will write a rebutal to this report with some BS that he is right.  But whatever he says does not help me in that I am out a $1500 piece of equipment that was not paid for and I never got it back.  It is clear he is using my equipment and he is charging his customers $295 per day.  I can only imagine how much he has ripped off other people. 

Curtis, pay for the item, then right your rebutal and try to salvage your reputation.
