I order the 22% teeth whitening gel from custombright .com. I reccieved the product 1 week later. I have whitened my teeth many times with no problem. I still have the tray my dentist made. After placing the whitening gel in my tray my gums became immmediatly burning. I kept the gel in for another 10 minutes then removed it because it as too painful. The gums were red and painful. 2 days later the area of my gum between my teeth shrunk and now I have gaps between the teeth.
I called customer service and they were no help. They offer no refund, They stated that their product will not do what I said it did. Now I have to have gum treatment at my dentist for thousands of dollars. Stay away from the custombright.com!!!

We have been selling professional teeth whitening products since 2002 and have sold 10's of thousands of whitening systems. We have never once received a complaint in all those years related to 'receding gums' caused by the product. Teeth whitening products can cause temporary irritation if you have sensitive teeth (especially if your gums are already receded). This is a known temporary side effect for ALL teeth whitening products whether they be over-the-counter or professional grade.
To minimize gum irritation, a proper custom-fitted tray is needed. This customer did not purchase their tray from our company so we cannot comment on the quality of her trays.
