BEWARE-BEWARE OF PEOPLEFINDERS.COM-PEOPLESEARCHES:::>>I was curious as to the background check on a person. I googled look-up people--UP popped, "PEOPLEFINDERS.COM. I browsed thru and located a deal for 6 months unlimited searches---the absolute CHEAPEST---which I personally CAN afford. I clicked on "6 MONTHS UNLIMITED SEARCHES FOR $4.95". I filled out all the forms including payment method etc.....then the page said click to view your order....which I did. this took me to another page which said to click the box to agree with the terms & conditions of their business....which said..paraphrased...I AGREE to the deduction of $29.70 & then some unGODLY amount for the yearly charge........... I did NOT CLICK this box. A friend was w/me I showed this to her & she said, "SCAM ARTISTS" strike again. I then proceeded to literally go back page by page and manually deleted every letter, every number, everything on the form & closed out that business & WILL NEVER USE THEM or RECOMMEND them...or have ONE POSITIVE word of them. Firmly believeing that I backed out of this trans action, I never thought twice about any monies being deducted from my acct b/c I did NOT compltete the transaction.....by NOT CHECKING the last box!!! The next am I went to my email & there's an email confirming this $29.70 had been deducted for my 6 months of unlimited searches & after that it would go up to ever how much they charged. Immediately I phoned the 1-800 number. a young lady answered. I explained all of this. she kept getting louder'''''louder''''speakinmg over me to the point I had to yell WILL YOU PLEASE ALLOW ME TO SPEAK? I'D BEGIN TO SPEAK & WAS CONSTANTLY INTERUPTED AND TOLD THAT WHEN I i "CLICKED"--VIEW REPORT NOW------SHE CLAIMED THIS COMPLETED THE TRANSACTION. And THAT I HAVE USED THEIR SERVICES FOR THE ONE PERSON I WAS SEARCHING FOR------and I have received the email report on this individual. hummm--rather strange i have NOT received one emailed report and this lady told me it was sent to me at the same time as the deduction notice for $29.70. This rep lady on the phone got a bit inappropriate---refused to allow me to speak to her supervisor, her manager or even another agent/rep.....she said no one else is available. we spoke back & forth---me demanding to speak to her boss or her manager---she said NOONE was unavailable at the moment, would I like to leave a msg on her voicemail. well....duh----You are telling me that this is the only way to get ANYTHING accomplished--sure send me to her voicemail. She transferred me and you will never guess whose voice was on this voicemail??? the exact same voice as the lady I spoke to on the phone. clue---RED FLAG NUMBER 3-4!!!! I left information requested. within hours I recieved a brief email stating ---as in the "service agreement" it states we do not offer refunds. period....that was it. I wrote back explaning it all---AGAIN & that I've contacted my finacial institution & my attorney. Then they respond that they have discovered I am disputing their deduction of $29.70 and since I've chosen to do that I MUST wait 2-3 billing cycles to give my financial institution "time to give me a conditional refund"---------------SAY WHAT????? I emailed them back telling them I can not & will not wait 2-3 months for a refund b/c I am on a fixed income down to the penny...etc-----we all get this issue and if you understand anything about a fixed income---you understand how detrimental ANY deduction is...no matter how large or small---it impacts my or anyone's ability to pay all their necessary expenses. (I'm on disability) Hence the reason for the $4.95 6 MONTH UNLIMITED SEARCHES!!!! I have $5 extra maybe a month that we all know we "float" payments to get everything paid in a given month!!! but.......this internet business----PEOPLE FINDERS OR PEOPLE SEARCH ----ARE A SCAM, ARE DECEPTIVE, MISLEADING, REFUSE TO COMMUNICATE ON PHONE & LIE---LIE LIE!!!!! PLEASE---PLEASE LEARN FROM MY ACTIONS......DO NOT EVER USE THIS BUSINESS AND PLEASE PASS ALONG THIS INFORMATION TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. I think I'm able to update this report when there is a finalization--either ASAP or wait the 2-3 months for the bank to do THE JOB PEOPLEFINDERS SHOULD BE DOING. BEWARE---BEWARE--DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY/BUSINESS........THEY WILL RIPP YOU OFF!!! THANK-YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO REPORT THIS DECEPTIVE, MISLEADING, INAPPROPRIATE---UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS/COMPANY!!!!
