Cuttery Recovery/First Recovery - Macrae Aracand Foote and Associates is currently operating without a business license according to Alberta Consumer and Corporate Affairs I found out this morning.
On Sept.20/06 a company by the name of Macrae Arcand Foote and Associates formerly known as Cutter recovery or First Recovery took an un-authorized auto debit from my bank account for the amount of $200.00. I contacted the Royal Bank on Sept. 30/06 and they advised me to sign a form to decline this pre-unauthorized debit.
I contacted Macrae Arcand Foote and Associates on Oct 2/06 and first spoke to a fellow and he informed me that I owed Insta-Loans $222. and change. I informed him I had proof of the payouts and I was clear and free of any debts to Insta-Loans. In fact I received a letter from Insta-loans two days prior that I was a preferred customer with a good payment record stating I was pre-approved for another loan in the amount of $260.00.
This company would not provide me with any information or account # for this matter. When I told him I would be seeking legal representation he proceeded to end the conversation by hanging up on me.
On Oct 2/06 I received a call to inform me that it was a system glitch and that they would be returning my money once the funds were released into their account.
We have tried numerous attempts to contact this agency in regards to the status of this matter and did not receive any call backs. I finally got in touch with someone the morning of Oct 5/06 and he again advised me that it was an error and we would receive our money back within 72 hrs(I'll believe it when it happens).
I couldn't emphasize enough on how this company has put me and family through so much stress and financial hardship this last week. I'm absolutely disgusted on how I was treated from this company when I didn't even owe this company any money. This is not the first time this has happened to me. It also happened to me when they were operating under Cutter Recovery Services.
Please feel free to call
Alberta Consumer and Corporate Affairs @(780)427-5210 to file a complaint.
Hope this helps.
