I had contacted Chuck Cooke about a CCIE position about 8 months ago and applied to 2 companies he was representing. I was then selected by both companies to go through their interview process. Chuck Cooke managed the whole process and had sent the Calendar invites on behalf of both employers. I went through the entire process and made it to both Finals. Shortly after the Interview process Chuck Cooke called me to congratulate me on my new job, he proceeded to tell me I got one position and not the other, at the time I thought nothing of it and was grateful for my new position. Last month I was at an Industry event where I ran into the Hiring Manager from the company I was told I did not get hired. I had come to find out that I indeed did get the position and Chuck Cooke turned it down on my behalf without my knowledge. I found out Chuck Cooke declined the position because he got a higher base with my current employer and had a high fee structure with my employer, but he did not give me the option! The position he declined had a higher bonus structure where I would have made more money. Chuck Cooke the glorified appointment setter chose to pad his pockets and not do what is best for his Client.
