On Saturday, August 20th, I received a call from Sam at Cybertel Security. My answering machine picked up the call before I answered it and kept recording after I picked up the phone. The guy said that I had paid $299 last December for a "Benefit Package" and I did not receive it, and he wanted to know if I wanted the package or my money back. I told him that I never ordered a benefit package and I never paid them for a benefit package as I already have benefits through my job.

When I asked he was he read me my bank account info. I asked him how he got this info? He said that I paid him $299 last December through my bank. He even told me my bank name. I asked him how I paid him, by check, money order, etc. He just said through your bank and said my account number again. I told him that I worked for the Government of Philadelphia, and he seemed a bit nervous about me saying that. I also told him that the call was being recorded and he seemed a bit more nervous.

He kept trying to push me and kept asking me if I want the package or my money back. I told him that I would check my bank statements from last December to see when the $299 came out of my account. This made him angry. I told him i would call him back with the phone number he gave me and then I hung up. Needless to say, the phone number he gave me is disconnected. No funds came out of my account YET, but I did notify the bank right after I hung up with him. I am probably going to have to close this account down and open a new one.

How do these people get away with this? What is the loophole that they have found to do this? I really want to know. The good thing is that the whole conversation is recorded and maybe can be used against them somehow in a civil lawsuit if it comes down to it. BEWARE PEOPLE!! WE NEED TO STOP THESE CRIMINALS!!!!
