Just after Christmas my wife got a new cell phone, and wanted to download a Christmas ringtone. Since Verizon didn't have any Christmas ringtones for her phone we did some searching on the internet and came up with YumYumRingtones.com. It seemed straight forward, and required some verification so we gave it a try. BIG MISTAKE!
They sent the wrong ringtone, and there was no option for notifying anyone - so we figured so much for that. Then we started getting text messages (14 of them to date) from DaDa.net wanting us to buy more ringtones. Then today we got the phone bill and they had charged us 9.99 twice, for premium text messaging (alert subscription and DaDaMobile). Needless to say I am not very happy at the moment, but I should have known better.
I will make a trip to Verizon today to see if I can block these people from accessing our cell phone, or else change the phonel number. We are not the only ones they have done this to, so beware!
