My name is Traci Hill and I live on Canyon Lake Drive in Rapid City. My daughter is a student a Canyon Lake Elementary. My parents are members of Canyon Lake Methodist Church. For the past year, I have been taking my child to school every morning and I have noticed a billboard at 3606 Canyon Lake Dr, Rapid City, SD 57702 that deeply concerns me as a parent, member of this community and a proud American.
The billboard is an advertisement promoting gun silencers. The placement of this billboard so close to both a school and church is in poor taste. I do not wish to take away another's opinion and voice and am requesting the company Dakota Silencer to consider moving their billboard away from buildings such as schools and churches.
I do not want to now add a new worry of silencers being used in school and church shooting preventing people from hearing guns being shot resulting in even more senseless casualties. Thank you for your time and listening to my concerns.
