Tommy Hernandez the founder and dictator of the Dallas Tigers has crossed the line. He has per his website 35 teams. He charges a Tiger fee of $500 per player. The problem is he files a fraudulent tax return every year. He doesn't donate money back to the individual teams. Each team creates their own budget and maintains separate accounts. This shows his morals are questionable at best. He talks a good game. I've noticed over the past few years that we have been a part of the Tigers that there is a revolving door. He is only about winning. He has no understanding of kids. If you have unlimited funds and are willing to write him a check every time you are hit up for money you will be fine.
Once you stop he will dismiss you as soon as he can. His coaches are not the quality of years ago when my first son played. They have all moved on and I can only imagine why. I've stuck around too long because he has made the people if Coppell feel like if you aren't a Tiger you won't play at Coppell High. Wise up Coppell he has no control over us. Take your money and your kid elsewhere. If you chose to be a Tiger be prepared to deal with the worst guy in baseball. His whole staff is horrible. Get out why you can. It won't be long and his ship will sink. Call Coppell ISD and complain about him using our field as Tiger field. It's a shame our ISD is allowing this.
I have witnessed him talking about other families very openly and inappropriately. He will bad mouth other teams and organizations every chance he gets. He doesn't an ounce of loyalty to his players or coaches. My sons college coach calls him shady and let me know he will bad mouth players from other teams and even once his own team. Wake up DFW there are plenty of teams out there with out the dictator and back stabbing of Tommy Hernandez. My money and kid will never be a Tiger again. I've talked to others that are leaving too. Wise up the Tigers are not the team or organization of 10 years ago. He will steal your money, lie about it and tell your coach to play you injured for the sake of winning. He could never coach at a level higher than select baseball. He's an idiot and I've been a follower for too long.
My kid liked his teammates, but its time to move on. I hope others will share there experiences. I know there are stories out there about everyone in this business. Bad business guys, bad coaches, dunks you name it. I can handle one of those the problem is he's all of them and a liar. Someone has posted his tax return on pissed consumer. After looking at it and doing the math my instinct was correct. He is a thief. Lie and say you do this to develope players. Lie to the IRS, but you aren't going to lie to my family again. Call USA baseball(he claims he's affiliated with them. He really only runs an id series for them) call Coppell ISD, call the IRS and call everyone you know and tell them not to be a Tiger.

I never have liked a shot that someone was willing to take with an anonymous name. I have been very forth coming many times in my career and life as it relates to my opinion. I would be very careful to assume any fact or truth when someone can slam, post or comment above another person or organization, and post it anonymously! My son is a Select high level player, but never played to Tommy. We have many friends children who have, and still do. Out of those kids, players and parents, not one time have I ever heard someone say that Tommy Hernandez was not a wonderful man, coach, or mentor to the kids he coaches! I have been friends with Tommy for several years and have been around this man every week for the past 2 years at least 2 times a week!
I have seen him work for the kids and the players future! Planning, taking calls from coaches to discuss the players every time I am around him! I would find it hard to believe that anyone, coach or parent could work harder for his kids and the future they have in baseball!!! I have seen him cut kids because of talent, and because of issues with grades, school, attitude, and drugs. Never have I heard this man not willing to help a kid, who had less play become or stay with the Organization! He has paid out of his own pocket to help several young men play on a Tiger team! I have 2 kids that I sent to him, because the boys needed his help! Are they good! Sure they are! Why would he want add kids to the most Elite Program in the area?
I have not taken my son to Tommy, because in the past, he would have been a boarder line player on an elite team! Not a good place for any developing young man wanting to continue to grow. If you have a son who is the Elite in the area! You better send him to Tommy! He will get the most out of your son, and to the next level. I have seen teams in Dallas that I feel do not have the interest of our kids at heart, but the Tigers are not that team! I could only hope my son peaks over the next few years and has a chance to carry on a proud tradition from this club of being a next level prospect! To the person that posted this previous comment, please feel free to post your name so the trust about your sons ability and talent can be shown as your real issue!
All of our kids peak, advance and mature at different stages and age! Please understand that he coaches kids at the top level of the game! Be proud to tryout! Be proud to be apart of this program! But, understand as I do, maybe his program is not yet right for your son. He will have to prove himself each and every year to be a Tiger! I he does, then you have an elite player, and should be proud to call yourself a Tiger! Last statement I will make is about what I have seen from playing golf with Tommy for years. Not one time have I seen this man cheat, or even thought to question him! He is honest and willing to have tough talks with anyone he has in his life! Thank you Tommy for being an Elite Man, coach and friend. And no I am not ready to take my son to him yet, but when he is ready, you bet I will!!!

I am going to assume that you are a parent that is probably more upset at the fact that your child did not receive the playing time that you felt like he deserved or was maybe cut from the team......I see this quiet often w/ select organizations that in olive the youth......I myself have known of Tommy Hernandez for many years and I can assure you that the Dallas Tigers is absolutely one of the best and most recognized organizations in the DFW area. I have witnessed this man take kids to the next level of baseball and he also has so many connections w/ colleges around the United States and I can also assure you that he is by far one of the BEST coaches anywhere around this area. Unfortunately you will have parents like yourself that feel the need to write a ripoff report and bash Tommy and The Dallas Tigers Organization but choose to be anonymous........Best of luck to your son and I hope that he finds a team that is a fit for him......C.
