Mr. Mills' contact information was taken from the emails he sent to our company, which identifies him as a legal assistant to Harold E. Scherr law firm. "Dangerous Curves, Jacksonville" does not have a physical address posted on its website.

Mr. Mills hired my company, Del Pueblo Press, Inc. to print magazines of "dangerous curves" a magazine displaying pictures of large-sized African American models. As he was a first-time client, and was in a rush to have the magazine printed and delivered, we asked for the entire amount up front, to which he said his board declined, and paid a down payment, saying the rest would be paid upon completion.

Dangerous Curves has not paid the remaining balance, has not returned numerous messages and phone calls, until we reported them to online fraud companies. We were told the check was mailed on July through the following email: "You sent this email to all the companies listed, we will notify out legal counsel today. A check was mailed to you on 7/14/08 to pay the balance."

They are referring to an email that I sent to each of the emails listed on their website, which we did to ensure that all relevant parties were aware of the money that is still owed to Del Pueblo Press, Inc.

Today is July 19 and the check has not arrived -- five days is ample time for a first-class postal coded envelope to arrive. Having done some research I discovered that the law firm of Harold E. Scherr also has complaints against it by consumers, and considering that Mr. Mills is employed by them, and that his board is threatening legal action, we felt they may attempt to use the relationship with that law firm and use the firm's mechanisms to harass us, and so we felt it prudent to document this through this website.

All of this can be resolved by simply paying the money owed to Del Pueblo Press, Inc. without legal threats. The legal threats will be documented, as is their unwillingness to pay for the services we provided.

Dangerous Curves Jacksonville Payment Request

AUTHOR: Dangerous Curves Jacksonville - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 01, 2008

Dangerous Curves Jacksonville hired Del Pueblo Press, Inc. to print the program booklet for our annual event. We were a first-time client and paid a down payment, of half the balance. We requested a proof of the booklet prior to the printing, which we did not receive. If we would have received the proof this job could have been corrected. When the booklets arrived, the quality and craftmanship was unsatisfactory.

Dangerous Curves Jacksonville has not paid the remaining balance due, we paid what we feel the job was worth. The job was copied not printed on a press which was requested, the booklet was formated and ready for print however we didnt receive the size we requested.

The program booklet has been a part of this organization for many years and it is a feature we are proud to display each year. This years booklet was something we could have printed ourselves or sent to Office Max, Office Depot or FEDEX Kinkos however we trusted Del Pueblo Press, Inc. and we were dissapointed.

Del Pueblo Press, Inc. all of this could have been resolved by simply giving us what we requested.

Regards

Dangerous Curves Jacksonville

Dangerous Curves in Jacksonville does not pay its bills

AUTHOR: Del pueblo press - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 02, 2008

Dangerous Curves posted a rebuttal that was weak and untrue (and riddled with misspellings and bad grammar) and did not post their name. This is evidence of a person who knows they are wrong, knows they did not pay for services rendered, and still is trying to hide their identity.

"Dangerous Curves in Jacksonville" states that they requested a proof. This is a lie. Here are all the email exchanges between Dangerous Curves and myself, Reyes Mata III of Del Pueblo Press, Inc. They never asked for a proof, they wanted their file printed as soon as possible, and sent the file as a pdf document, which means we cannot make any changes to it. They asked us to printe their file exactly as is, which we did. It is the only thing you can with a pdf file; never was a proof requested. Read for yourself, and see how dishonest this Dangerous Curves Jacksonville company is; they try and get the price lower and lower, pushing you to rush, and then pay half and then run and hide:

All of our email exchanges:

From Dangerous Curves: Is your company still open and active I need a job printed asap. Please reply.
Thanks

Our response: Yes sir, still open, we just relocated to a nicer place (nothing against the Cortez). We're at 1017 Montana (by the corner of
Montana and Octavia). Send a description of what you would like
printed, and we can begin on a quote and timeline immediately.
Warm regards,

Reyes Mata III
Del Pueblo Press, Inc.

Dangerous Curves response:
Thank you for your response and congratulations on yor continued success. I just received a call from the City of Jacksonville about our booklet budget. They informed me we cant exceed $2.50 per booklet for 400 books. I hope you can do this job with in these guidelines or pretty close to them.

Our response:
We've sent you an official estimate.

Dangerous Curves in Jacksonville response:

Thank you for the estimate. if we reduced the number of booklets to 300 how much will the price be reduced?

Our response:
We ent you another official estimate.

Dangerous Curves in Jacksonville response:

Let me make sure I understand the quotes;
300 BOOKS WILL BE 1060.00 ABT 3.53 PER BOOK
400 BOOKS WILL BE 1360.00 ABT 3.40 PER BOOK

AM I CORRECT? PLEASE ADVISE

Our response:

If that's what the quotes say, yes sir.

Dangerous Curves in Jacksonville response:

Thank you very much I will mail the packet to you next week the file will be on disc and a hard copy as well as a copy of last year book will be in the package. Is there a special format you need this book designed in?

Thank you for your time yo will receive more business from us.

Our response:

Sounds great. If all your measurements, margins are correct, and
the file is saved as a high resolution (300 dpi) then a pdf
would be ideal; or page-by-page jpeg. Thanks!

Dangerous Curves in Jacksonville response:

Im going to need 400 booklets please send the quote so I can get this funded.

Our response:

We sent you an official estimate.

Dangerous Curves in Jacksonville response:

I took the quote to our advisory board, our budget is only $1250.00
Is there any thing you can do to help us with this, This book is for a 501 c 3 non profit organization. Please advise.

Thanks

Donald Mills

Our response:

We redid the quote, dropped the prices a bit and eliminated the
tax (sorry, i forgot you were a non-profit). Hope you like it.
Regards!

From here, we were asked to print and mail them the printouts of the publication that THEY DESIGNED. We did not do the design, nor have any control over the quality of the graphics. For those who understand printing, a pdf document CANNOT BE ALTERED. What you get is what you get. The quality control of the images is the responsibility of the people who created the pdf document. All we can do is print it.

As you can see, Del Pueblo Press tried to work with Dangerous Curves, brought the prices down to help them out, and we were NEVER ASKED FOR A PROOF. Mr. Mills is lying, to put it bluntly.

The quality of their magazine was in the hands of their designer, and the person who created the pdf document. Had we designed the magazine, we would accept full responsibility for the quality of the design and resolution (sharpness) of the completed version. But none of that was in our hands. The magazine was given to us in a substandard form, and in a file format that did not allow us to make any changes, and we were asked to quickly print and send back, which we did.

Dangerous Curves then ignored all communication, never contacting us, never responding to our invoices, ignoring our voice messages, threatened us with legal action because we were asking to be paid.

To the board of Dangerous Curves: Mr. Mills may have misinformed you of his instructions to Del Pueblo Press, but we did exactly what was asked of us, with the unalterable product that was given to us. We feel it is very unfair to us for you to not pay what is owed. Read the email exchanges, never do you see any request for a proof. All you see is somebody in a hurry to get the job done, and us making the best of a situation and making the huge mistake of trusting Dangerous Curves in Jacksonville to pay us for the services we provided -- services that we fulfilled exactly as was requested, which was PRINT THE FILES WE SEND YOU.

Please board, make good on your commitment, and pay Del Pueblo Press what is owed to us. Mr. Mills misrepresented the situation, and has put forth lies in his response. Do the honorable thing and pay us what was agreed upon, so we can move on and close this issue.

Please mail payment to 1017 Montana, El Paso, Texas, 79902. Or you can call me or email me and we can come to a payment plan if you do not have the money. I know what it's like to be a small non-profit. That's why we lowered our price for you, and performed a rush job so you could have your magazines on time for the event. But, again, we had no control over the quality of the document -- we didn't design it, nor did we make the pdf file, which is not an alterable file. It must be printed exactly the was it was given to us. If the photos were grainy on the file that was sent, we cannot change that.

We shall await your response. We have been sending the invoice to Mr. Mills, who has not even bothered to open them, or has sent them back by blocking our email. I do believe that the board for Dangerous Curves must be more respectable than this. All we are asking is for you to treat us fairly.

Regards, Reyes

Dangerous Curves not paying its Bills!

AUTHOR: Del pueblo press - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 22, 2008

Though they promised to pay the remaining balance for the printing job they asked for, the board of DANGEROUS CURVES in Jacksonville -- through Mr. Mills -- has not made payment, even after being notified that their business is now on RIPOFF REPORT. That's no surprise that they don't care, the legal office that Mr. Mills works for has multiple complaints against it here on RIPOFF REPORT. They promised that the check was on the way, and it has not arrived. Be wary of doing any business with this company -- they don't pay their bills. And if you, do, please get paid up front. They are not good for their word, as they still owe us money and are ignoring our invoices.
