Dan Heskett was selling a condo in Carrollton, TX and had it advertised in the Dallas Morning News. After speaking with him, we agreed to meet and discuss the purchase of the condo. He was asking for a $1250 down payment and I would take the note over. He brought paperwork to my place of employment that looked legit.I signed he took a cashier's check. He promised to have it painted and new carpet installed, but that never happened.

When it was time to move in, I couldn't find him and he wouldn't answer his phone. When I do call he will not answer the phone. Buyers Beware!! I am a single parent who got ripped off by this predator. I will keep looking for him and I will smear his name anyway I can.

Daniel Heskett Is indeed a conman

I was conned by Mr. Heskett as well but fortunately I noticed before too much harm was done.  I was the owner of the home and he was supposedly going to buy it and rent it back to me at a lower interest rate.  One of the papers I signed was giving him power of attorney.  As soon as I realized what it was I went immediately to the county clerk and filed a revocation of the power of attorney.  I beat him to the punch fortunately.  With that power of attorney he went and put my house in his name... just the house... not the mortgage.  He actually filed a 3 day eviction to move me out of the house I owned.  He had me served by the constable.  Too bad he dropped the case by not showing up to court because he was going to get arrested.  He had a warrant out of Collin county at the time for taking a deposit to rent another home he didn't own.  A police officer from Richardson, TX also called me.  This is all because I went all overkill on saving myself.  I copied and faxed every document from Mr. Heskett to the FBI, Denton County District Attorney and the Texas Rangers.  The District attorney seemed to be the most concerned... and the police officer from Richardson as well.  I'm sure Mr. Heskett will say I'm crazy yadda yadda.  So I refer the reader to the public records at Denton County Courthouse.  Just type in his name.  It you have the same problem with a power of attorney I invite you to get a copy of my revocation of power of attorney, copy it word for word with your name, and file it at the county clerk.  Make sure to file the documents under your name, Daniel Heskett's name, whatever company name he is using at the time, and the property address, and legal description.  Fortunately I was able to show my revocation of power of attorney that was filed before Daniel Heskett's papers were filed to the County Clerk and ownership was simply reversed.  Had I not revoked the power of attorney I would have lost my house but still have a mortgage to pay.  If you want to confirm my claims you may also look online for free at dentoncounty.org and look under judicial cases and type his name in.  I received a few phone calls from other frantic people he was ripping off at the time... they found the documents I filed in county records.   I also hired an attorney who made everything nice and tidy but I have not removed the attempted eviction record because I think it needs to be there to forewarn others.  I just looked at the judicial records and noticed that the attorney that Mr. Heskett used against me, sued Mr. Heskett in Denton County.  So... I'm sorry Mr. Heskett, but anyone who does any checking around will find out that you are indeed the crook.  The rest of us are just gullible and think the best of people.

How dare your say I didn't pay! You came to my job and gave my boss the final paperwork! You took a cashier's check from me and CASH! I have all the paperwork you gave me. I paid exactly what you said I needed to get into that condo. You told me you would have it painted, new carpet, and all that bull. I talked to the lady who owned the condo and she said you never did anything to help her. The condo was not ready as we agreed and the owner had not even moved out when you said she would be gone. I have her number. You took money from me on two occasions at Staples. You said the deal was done, smooth talker.

I will and I can smear your name, you idiot. YOU ARE A CROOK! Why don't you ever answer your phone. Better yet, why don't you call me. You know my number! I'll see you in court! It's a pattern with you. You've done this to many people, but your day will come. Now that I have your attention, maybe you'll answer your phone. There is only one side to this story. You my friend are a CON-ARTIST! If want to take it to court; it would be my pleasure!

You had signed a document to purchase the property and NEVER paid the remaining amount which document stated the initial amount paid is non-refundable!

Why would you try to smear my name because you couldnt/wouldnt pay as agreed.

WHY DONT YOU POST THE CONTRACT WE HAD FOR THE PROPERTY ON THIS SITE AND LET WHOEVER GOES TO THIS SITE MAKE A DECISION ON THEIR OWN ON WHAT'S RIGHT/WRONG ETC..... I believe you should air any legitimate concerns to me directly and I will FAIRLY resolve them to the best I can.

You have my phone#. Call it! Quanity of complaints don't make them legitimate complaints!!!
