Dan Heskett uner the cover name of Selah Property Mangement, sent a letter to me because my house was listed for forclosure and had $80K of equity. Whe I told him my asking price he said that was just what he wanted to pay for it.
He then asked for the payoffs for the mortgage and home improvement loan and suggested he write the sale contract for the payoff amount and he would issure promissory notes to me and my ex-husband for the amount of $35K each. These he promised could be executed withint a week and we would have money to move on. He also assured me that he would find me another house and said don't worry about having to move. He signed a rental lease with me for 60 days with no rent.
The date for the notes to be paid came and went. There was always something wrong. In the meantime he sent over real estate agents and other property investors. He told me not to tell the loan broker, title company or appraisers anything about the promissory or it would "make everybody nervous" and mess up our deal.
Long story short, they were always delays, delays, delays, pushing us closer to the forclosure date on July 4, 2006. zI finally put my foot down and said we were closing on the 29th at 10am and get our money ready.
That morning he called saying he was in Kansas because one of his daughters attempted suicide. But he seemed unconcerned, to me. He told me to have my ex husband and I to sign the deed over to him and he would courier the checks to us. Of course, we didn't fall for that.
He ten called multiple times threatening us with legal action. Then saying that if he didn't get our house the bank would. Then saying that he controlled the property because he had a contract (which was not valid because he gave us no earnest money).
The next day he called and offered $10K if we would sign over the deed. We said no.
I spoke to the title company and they said that he owed the lawyers money and that none of the four houses hw was attempting to buy closed.
I talked the lender and she said she would stop all business dealings with him. She told me that a woman had called crying in June because Dan has stolen $1,200 from her supposedly as a down payment on a condo in Carrollton and then disappeared.
After we dealth the house to another investor whom I knew, the title company called and said Dan had another lender was was asking them to draw up papers for us to sign. I nixed that.
I week later, Dan called trying to get us to pay him for the appraisal he had done on the house. I told him that they only thing I was going to do is report him to the police for fraud, which I did.
They police say they need another report on Dan Heskett and then they would open an investigation. So if he'd done you wrong, go to the Carrollton police with a print out of this report.
I've looked for a physical address for Dan Heskett and found one in his wife' name Juana Heskett. 1721 E Frankford RD, Carrollton, TX 75007. Their number is 972 394-8194.

My husband and I were looking to purchase a home to start a family, We saw Dan's Website and contacted him. We looked at the home and gave him a $2000.00 deposit on the home in Garland. He then never followed up on anything per the contract a title search was to be done with in 20 days of signing & the warranty of deed was to be signed over in our name to guarantee we would not be paying someone else's debt! None of which were done!!!!! We put our hard earned money into fixing up that house which we stopped after we found out the real deal. Also stressed out with going back and forth with the original owner as she was never suppose to sell the home because later we found out there is a lean against the property! It is in foreclosure. I wonder if they are partners?? I would like to get this demon like there is no tomorrow!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK DAN AND I WILL GET IT!!!!!! SUSPECT TO SHOW UP TO COURT VERY SOON B-CUS I WILL GET YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any one whom wants to come along who has dealt with the same please respond.

Post the contract we have and both agreed to and let these people that come to this site make a decision BASED ON FACTS!!!!!!!
You have posted a story filled with errors and erroneous comments. If you have a problem with the contract or anything why not call me?
If you recall you have threatened me and hungup when I called to resolve this issue and am still willing to.

I'M THE SINGLE PARENT WHO DAN HESKETT RIPPED $1250 DOLLARS FROM. I FILED A REPORT WITH THE PLANO POLICE DEPARTMENT. I AM GOING TO CALL THE CARROLLTON POLICE DEPARTMENT RIGHT NOW. I ALSO CALLED THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS TO NOTIFY THEM OF HOW DAN HESKETT WAS LURING VICTIMS TO HIS GAME OF LIES AND DECEIT. AN EDITOR CALLED ME AND THEY ARE WILLING TO HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE. PLEASE CALL MARSHA @ THE DMN AND THIS CAN ONLY HELP OUR CASE. I WILL DO ANYTHING TO STOP THIS MAN. I PROVIDED THE PLANO POLICE DEPT. WITH HIS DOB AND LICENSE PLATE NUMBER.
